If travelling from North or South follow the signs for the Mackay City. This will take you onto Gordon Street turn left onto Macalister Street. From the Airport a 10 minute taxi ride or a 150m walk from the Bus terminal. From Mackay Train Station approximately 7km in a taxi.

great location when visiting cbd.

The location and staff at Coral Sands were excellent however for the price I expected more. We were provided with towels but no face cloths. The bedspread had a dirty stain on it and a hole on one side. We (a couple) booked for three nights and were given a room with a double and two single beds. There was very little room to move because of this and we had to sit on the bed. A couch or chair to sit in would have been nice. The unit was quite depressing in the daytime. There was a good guest laundry but no outdoor clothes line.
