Coul House Hotel is ideally positioned to offer stunning views of Strathconon Valley and mountains beyond. The Hotel offers a secluded location which allows guests to relax in peace and tranquility, yet is ideally located for the nearby A835 and the bustling city of Inverness. The house sits majestically at the end of a half mile driveway and is set in eight acres of mature woodlands, which also boasts a private nine hole pitch and putt. Coul House is the perfect place to rediscover the romance and beauty of the Highlands with 21 en-suite bedrooms, a charming and unique octagonal restaurant and many other homely features that adds to the ambiance of the hotel. The property is personally supervised by the proprietors, ensuring a relaxed and hospitable atmosphere.
The grand octagonal shape restaurant which is the centrepiece of the hotel, with an intricately stuccoed ceiling, complete with Greek key, thistle and Celtic knot motifs. Often in the evening you'll see beautiful sunsets through the three ceiling to floor windows which offer fabulous views of the surrounding area. Both a grill and an à la carte menu are available, offering contemporary gourmet meals with an imaginative menu. Ingredients are locally sourced wherever possible, often featuring Scottish Game, local Salmon homemade breads, pastries and delightful desserts. |

Follow the A9 north over the Kessock Bridge, at the Tore roundabout take the second left sign posted Dingwall and Ullapool A835. At the next roundabout again take the second left to stay on the A835 sign posted to Ullapool. The next village is Contin about 6 miles from the roundabout. Once in Contin the entrance to the driveway is the third right (approximately 200 yards) after the petrol station. The Hotel is located up the hill at the end of the half-mile gravel driveway. |
