"After dark everything looks good. Its an old hotel and in need of refurbishment in the rooms, but the staff is very friendly and helpful, the location is a quick walk to a free tram and the breakfast at the Chifley was excellent." - Schelly Gardner
"service of staff exceptional, room was at a cheap rate which was great, however the bath had been a little worse for wear and before showering had to clean the bath as hair and lots of it was all over the bottom, sides, hence needed cleaning, the rest of bathroom cleaned and restocked well.the rest of the unit clean and reasonable." - Anonymous
"I have indicated "service" to be very bad due to the fact that a leaking shower was not repaired when reported on two occasions. In view of serious water shortages and a good night's sleep this should have been attended to immediately. The cleaning was very slip/shod, towels not replaced on a daily basis, it seemed the bed was made and rubbish bins emptied only." - Anonymous
