Cradle Chalet is a little different to many of the accommodation options in the Cradle Mountain region having developed a reputation as a unique, privately owned and operated, boutique, wilderness lodge focused on catering to smaller numbers of guests with more personal service.

Cradle Chalet Dining Room, (reservations by arrangement prior to arrival) offers guests and visitors a tempting range of both modern and traditional dishes unique to the Cradle Mountain area. The licenced bar and roaring fire also make this the perfectly relaxing venue for enjoying Tasmania's famous fresh produce and a glass of local wine!

Getting there:
Moina and Cradle Chalet are 150 km west of Launceston and 85 km south of Devonport.
The driving time from Launceston is around 2 hours. and from Devonport 1 hour.
Hobart is about 4 hours via the Midlands Highway through Ross - or 6 hours 30 mins by the Lyell Highway through Queenstown.
Launceston airport is 20 minutes drive from Launceston and a 1.5 hour drive to Cradle Chalet.
Moina is a wilderness location so it is essential to analyse the map and be aware of driving times and road considerations before you leave on your trip .
It is preferable to arrive before night fall because after dark it is more difficult to navigate (and you may be sharing the roads with the local wildlife!)
If you are going to be late call ahead to Cradle Chalet - and also keep in mind that you will need to make a reservation for the restaurant 24 hours ahead.
Check-in Procedure:
Check in between 2pm and 6pm. If you are going to be later than 6pm please call ahead to Cradle Chalet - and also keep in mind that you will need to make arrangements for evening meals at least 24 hours ahead of your arrival.
Car parking:
There is a large carpark at the front of the lodge and also parking ouside your chalet.
Child Policy:
Cradle Chalet does not accomodate children.
