Lovely room, with bush aspect. Was bloody cold (3 to 6c) room heater needs to be on and they do not always work. You have to "wiggle" thermostat to maintain heat function. Continental breakky expensive A$18.00 pp. Pancakes (hotcakes) were rubbish. Go to Cradle Mt Visitor centre for full breakfast cheaper.(crazy as it is run by same coy) Dont be put off though, really nice place to stay.
Very convenient location, plenty of parking available and the staff are very helpful with tours and road directions. However the restaraunt within the chateau was quite dissappointing. Buffet for $35 was quite overpriced with the variety of food provided (meat only) and quality. WIth the amount paid per night I would have expected more from this place.
We only stayed 1 night at Cradle Mountain Chateau but thoroughly enjoyed it. We ate at the bistro and had a very enjoyable meal (the buffet). We hope to visit again before long.
The hotel is quite clean, but a bit lack of heating source. My mum had buffet from the restaurant and started vomiting right after for 2days.
The hotel room was clean, a bit outdated but still comfortable. Room service was delicious and location was great. A bit pricey, but to be expected as there are not many accommodation options on cradle mountain.
I love the location, in the midst of the nature, we can see many wild animals during sunset and sunrise, it is an exhilarating experience.
Great place to stay cannot fault anything
Negatives-Rooms not well heated and the hotel had given out their extra heaters. Positives-Great staff
A must stay for anyone touring Tassy. Strongly recommended for the couple on a romantic trip.
we found cradle mountain chateau great reception staff, poor waiting service, average family menu options, great al acart menu, great rooms & views.
Great location for walking in Cradle Mountain NP. Would stay there again
This is a beautiful place. We really enjoyed our stay and the breakfast was superb!
rooms were not ready until 3.30pm, so spent a few hours waiting around. Although staff were apologetic, no complimentary drinks or anything were offered for the inconvenience
Rooms are very cold in Winter, heating not really adequate. A good idea to get a package including dinner and breakfast!
Cannot speak highly enough of the Chateau. It was the last night we spent in Tasmania, and only wish we'd had more time to experience the friendliness and hospitality shown us. They even provided complimentary snow and wallabies!!!
We had one night at Cradle Mountain food not so good, Room and bed was good but not a lot to do there an in door spa would have been nice to get into after a long drive.
a wonderful weekend we had in an excellent facility. The staff were great ,the food was great , the wine was great ,even the weather put on a snowfall for us .We could not fault the weekend and will be back to the Chateau for another stay when we can fit it in . It is in my opinion up with some of the best I've stayed in and thanks to the staff we had dealings with nothing was a problem.
FANTASTIC highly recommended great rooms great views great food great facilities will return
