Was budget but thats what we expected, great location right near the tube station
A wonderful surprise after what we'd been told about London accomodation. Our room was spacious, clean with excellent hotel staff & an easy, pleasant walk to catch the "Tube"into London each day. Breakfast was included & was delightful in the sunroom. The wi-fi for my laptop worked well so all in all I could highly reccommend this place to any other overseas visitors.
Kings Cross is a pleasant place to stay whilst in London. The staff are herrful and friendly. Elderly folk especially, should be warned of the five flights of narrow stairs with landings and no lifts available. This made the carriage of travel bags very difficult to manouvre.
Have stayed at Crestfield four times over the past two years. The hotel was quite fresh first time we visited - now it needs some renovation. Espacially bathrooms are smelly and not very delicate. Rooms are small - as common in London. Terrible breakfast but nice small outside garden if weather allows. The area isn't pretty, but location very conveniant since St, Pancras and Kings Cross stations are two minutes walk away.
If you are knocking 70 years of age, three flights of stairs to your room do not sit well, so this is a big minus. Situated handy to St Pancras - Kings Cross, this hotel is ideally located for arrivals / departures by rail and has a good ( one hour) rail connection to Heath Row. With a big underground junction handy, this is a perfect headquarters for "raids" on the sights and tourist spots of London. Internet is theoretically available on the ground floor but I could connect only in the lobby itself. No dedicated luggage space in the rooms, no space for a chair, no minibar; no phone in the rooms (the payphone downstairs eats pound coins), we are a bit short on services and space. Reception staff are friendly and efficient. Breakfast is varied and adequate, served by friendly staff.
Louise [...] and Tracey [...] stayed at The Crestfield hotel recently and the staff were great, it is an ideal place to stay lovely and clean and the breakfast was sufficient.
Room was very small but we expected that based on price.
This hotel really helped us get the most out of our bargain holiday in London! Small room, but clean, nice & polite staff, all at a really reasonable price.
Thought this was a very cozy hotel rooms very small but we would indeed stay there again
Basic, small rooms, but excellent location, price & friendly, helpful staff. Perfect for o/night stop before the Eurostar.
WiFi free of charge. COntinental breakfast free of charge. No elevator. Excellent location. Good value for moey.
Very compact rooms and basic facilities, threadbare carpet in some areas. Although a small, tired, room it was spotlessly clean. A simple breakfast of cereal and toast is included. It's definitley not fancy but for the price and location in London, you'd be hard pressed to do better, especially at short notice. I would stay again.
Small but adequate for one night. Basic breakfast. Excellent location for Eurostar.
Excellent location, quiet and clean. Good value but basic.
I've stayed in this area before and it's full of cheap hotels, but this one was very cheap, clean and quiet - very good for the area.
The breakfast need to improve, because it is less than basic. (coffee tastes bad, bread and cereal are worse than no frills.) I probably won't stay there again.
Very small rooms and I'm sure the bed was not a full double but it was OK for one night. Tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryer a bonus. Location excellent, right over the road from St Pancras International. Breakfast continental but sufficient with cereal, toast, juice and hot drinks. Staff friendly as is the dog that sits at the door! Have stayed a few times now and would stay again if the price was right.
Your average "cheap" London hotel. Small rooms, smaller toilet/shower, no lift but as they say 'you get what you pay for'. Very handy position close to St Pancras/Kings Cross stations thus getting around London very easy. Very good breakfast included.
The hotel was a good value for money choice in an excellent location for Kings Cross commuting. Friendly staff too.
Next time in London we will definitely stay at Crestfield Hotel again!
