Cristal Caldas Hotel

good location , staff all very helpful, rooms a bit small.

The hotel was nice & clean, though it did need updating (which had just begun when we were leaving) The staff were very good especially Fillipe at reception & George the bartender. The location was ideal though parking near the hotel would be a problem in some months.

A bit tatty, in need of a refurbishment.

Located in a good area of the city. It's an average 3 star hotel, with nice service and all the basics.the price is a bit too high for what's offered, but the other hotels in the area (very few) don't offer a better option.

If you plan to visit the town and the towns around Caldas and you need a nice and clean place to sleep, then Cristal Caldas is a good base. It is a standard hotel without surprises (good or bad) and does it's job very well at that, with a good quality/price relation. With this in mind, I would not hesitate to stay there again. However, if you are looking for an unforgettable experience WITHIN the hotel itself, you might want to look for some other less conventional places before.

Nicely situated 15km north of Obidos (great little town and very popular among Portuguees tourists). Still it would be good to have a car altough there are train and bus connection within 10-15 minute walk of the hotel (not very often but transport to Coimbra, Porto and Lisbon is availble). Staff are very friendly and helpful. The buffet lunch at the hotel is very good value and the dinners apparently also. The bathrooms are a bit dated in decor but all is spotless.

Good value for money and helpful staff. Excellent location.

Parking was a problem but booking this hotel on the internet gave peace of mind and was very pleasant and friendly.
