Crowne Plaza Shanghai is situated in a unique location, just minutes to Hongqiao Development Zone, Xu Jia Hui commercial center and the famous Huai Hai road. 500 designed hotel guestrooms include superior, deluxe rooms and suites to make your accommodation comfortable. Starting from December 2007 till February 2008, hotel will be renovating as hotel lobby / food and beverage outlets / banqueting, during the renovation period, there would be minimum disruption and inconvenience to the guests.

20minutes drive from Hongqiao Airport and RMB25per car per way. 45minutes drive form Pudong Airport and RMB180per car per way.

A very nice place to stay, good staff who speak excellant english would stay again.

The Front desk staff are very unfriendly. If you need help with anything ask the concierge, they are extremely helpful and polite. Front desk staff don't take questions well and they will speak in Chinese in front of you. don't take offence even if they say something rude...normal in their culture to do this.Take care with the currency exchange rate and make sure when you check out that they don't over bill you.

Quiet location, but the hotel is under renovation including the propsect of an extention and Club Floor in the new wing. Reception and Coffee Shop is in a temporary location - limiting the choice of food. Access is reasonable but a long way from Shopping area. Taxi to other areas (including the subway for other connections) is essential if sightseeing or oether places to visit is required.

Although it is not difficult to find the hotel, it would be helpful to know the Chinese name of the hotel for the cab driver to diffuse any ambiguity of the actual hotel.
