Crowne Plaza Hotel Auckland

Nice facilities. Location right by Skytower is good, though I would have preferred to be closer to the waterfront. The parking garage was $NZ28, and our parking ticket "failed" on exit. We had to wait for an attendant to come to us with traffic behind us. The garage/mall closes at midnight, so if you arrive after 12-midnite you have to go to front desk to have them let you in.

The hotel is great. Staff very friendly. I found everything very good. The location is excellent. You can easily walk to the harbor in 15 minutes and up and down the main streets of the city. To our surprize and great pleasure, the hotel has an underground mall right down the escalator from the lobby. Very nice restarant and bar! I woulld reccommend this to anyone.

What can I say except 'superb'! From reception, concierge, housekeeping to check-out, the Crowne Plaza staff gave exceptional service. It's what you hope for at a hotel of this class but don't get often enough. I stayed for 6 days and had a room with a view with a few little extras provided by obliging cheerful housekeeping staff. A big thank you to the well-trained staff who literally gave true service with a smile. The hotel is centrally located in Auckland, close to pretty well everything, and the Airbus services are in the next street (or taxis are at the door). Next time I'm in Auckland, it'll be the Crowne Plaza for me.

We found this to be a really good hotel. The room was clean and spacious. The staff very helpfull and pleasant. Although it had a good fitness centre I would of liked it if the hotel had a swimming pool. I would recommend this hotel.

The Crowne Plaza was ideally located for the Sky city Convention centre and city centre. Staff were helpful and friendly. Facilities are good and room was decorated in modern style. Gym is quite good. I would have liked a swimming pool also.

All in All it was good. Clean Hotel, room was done each day, though sometimes later. I did ask for extra towels to be delivered to my roon, however I never received these. but i would stay again

The service for our room was average to say the least. Simple things like not replacing empty tissue boxes, shampoo and conditioner bottles were not done. We had a drink stain occur on our bed sheets and instead of replacing the sheets the maid simply made the bed again without replacing the sheets. Not good enough for a hotel chain of this standard.

Overall very good, comfortable and clean.

A very pleasant experience and well priced with full buffet breakfast included for two. We stayed for one night due to my employer Coca- Cola Amatil's long service awards held at Sky City convention centre which was right across the road.

A very pleasant hotel to stay at while on business in Auckland. Centrally located and easily accessed. Staff very friendly and helpful. No hassles checking in or out

Had a fabulous time staying at Crowne Plaza; so did my husband, our 4yo son and my parents-in-law. The location is so handy to the Auckland CBD, we walked almost everywhere. The rooms are spacious and well presented. Housekeeping/housekeepers are very obliging and more than happy to assist. The only hassle we experienced was with the door security cards to access room; quite time consuming as having to swipe repetitively before it opens the door.

Great Hotel & great facilities. As with any Crown Plaza Hotel a very safe bet for a centrally located, professional, well appointed and comfortable hotel to stay in.

Little Japanese cafe across from the lobby is fantastic as is the massage place, Bliss!!!

Really conveniently located hotel situated above good parking and an atrium with superb shoping. Stayed in deluxe room - great size and great bathroom with excellent bath. Would recommend this hotel as is 'hop' 'skip' away from Casina, CBD and great shopping

Discovered that they don't have Valet parking so you park within the same building but use seperate lifts for parking and hotel access. The room was nice and great central location.

We spent three nights at the Plaza. Because of its reputation, we were surprised when we arrived in the early evening not to be met by a doorman. We had to unload our own bags and transport them to the reception desk where we were asked if we needed any help. Later that evening my wife called down for a feather pillow since they were listed as one of the four types of pillows available. We were informed that they had none available. The same thing happened the next day. Again, not what would be expected from a hotel of this reputed quality. On the bright side, the continental breakfast and cocktail hour which were a part of the package we purchased were excellent. The room and bath were clean and well stocked with amenities. This would be a great 3 or even a good 4 star hotel but definitely not a 5.

Good Hotel with friendly & efficient staff situated in an excellent part of town. Only real gripe was the budget shower head and no bath robes things you'd expect better from a hotel of this calibre.

Nice big room with 32" Sony TV. Comfortable and very clean.
