Hotel is near shopping centre and business district. We ate dinner in the restaurant. Staff are very attentive but food is not exceptional. I was not impressed with room. Bathroom fittings a little bit outdated
The hotel is really well located and so spare time during the stay meant that we didn't have to stay in the confines of the hotel but could go into town shopping. We actually didn't not spend a lot of time in the hotel other than for showering and sleeping, but it seemed a really nice, very pleasant place to stay and if we had to spend time in the hotel, it would not have been a problem.
Good full buffet breakfast especially the personally made omelettes! Very efficient service by wait staff, reception & cleaning staff. Good sized rooms uncramped. Always great staying here.
Our two day stay at the Crowne Plaza Canberra for Anzac Day was a lovely experience. Breakfast was amazing, the buffet menu was delicious, the staff very helpful and enthusiastic. Will definitely stay there again!
The most impressive aspect of the Crowne Plaza is the excellent & attentive service I receive whenever I stay here. I also observe this with other guests. From housekeeper staff through restaurant to front of house. The full buffet breakfast ($30) is excellent & I recommend the individually made omelettes. Rooms are adequate with good work stations. Bathrooms are a bit tired/ old fashioned in some areas ( old taps ETC & some tiles need replacing). The Crowne plaza has an excellent location with secure undercover parking ($15 per night with unlimited entry/exits) Thoroughly recommend.
Good hotel, just what you would expect from the Crowne group.
New and clean and right in the centre of town.
Staff were helpful and friendly. Access to the room via the car park was great. Also late check out of 11am was easily extended until 12 noon.
Far too expensive for a rather basic room. Good location to the conference and shopping areas though.
The service is good but the bathroom is renovated one. However overall service is very good.
The hotel staff were (mostly) very friendly and tried their best to make our stay excellent. There were some things however they couldn't really control. We stayed Friday and Saturday night and the noise and cigarette smoke from the Casino was annoying and went pretty much all night. The room was ok but not really that clean - we have children and they move everything about including furniture and when they did you could see it was the first time anyone had moved them for a while!
Booking very early I received a fantastic price deal Friday to Sunday. All staff were excellent in attention to me. My room was spacious. Only misgivings...insufficient nights for reading purposes; dated bathroom with obvious removal of wall fixtures ,tiles need to be replaced. Seafood +buffet is adequate need to have biscuits for cheese covered as tasted stale & when waiter was advised he attended to this immediately with a fresh packet & would make the suggestion to the kitchen. SO nice to see things attended to! Would stay again at this establishment.
not enough cofee and milk provided, didnt clean up the room from the day we stay and we need to ask to provide towel and linen, pillow is too thick...
We were very happy with the hotel room etc. We didn't realise that it is next to the Casino. It was very noisy that night. Perhaps they should provide earplugs.
Excellent value for money, brilliant cooked breakfast with plenty of variety plus a cappuccino bar for only $20.
A pleasant one night stay in Australia's capital and within walking distance to shops restuarants some tourist highlights.
Very nice accommodation, much appreciated. Will use again.
Room very nice. Service excellent, very courteous, helpful and friendly. The bathroom small, worn and outdated.
Sometimes the Crowne Plaza is more expensive than other Canberra accommodation if there are good deals on. We will always choose the Crowne Plaza if we can, as it is well positioned, and the rooms are always well presented. It is a bit expensive when you add breakfast and parking, but we usually don't as you can get both for less elsewhere. All in all, if you can get a good deal, the Crowne Plaza won't let you down.
We had an excellent stay. The staff were very friendly. We will be returning in the near future.
