We attended a wedding and the food and service were exceptional considering how many people they were catering for. The breakfast the next morning was also hot where it was meant to be hot. The staff were attentive and friendly.
Good stay at the Culloden for a family function. Our standard room had side views of the lough, a lovely comfortable bed and great bathroom. 2 problems - there was no bin in the room, and it did not arrive even after asking housekeeping. And there was no full length mirror in the room which was annoying. Breakfast was good with a wide choice, but we had to ask for milk and napkins - some of the staff seemed quite young and inexperienced. All in all a good stay, but we wouldn't want to pay the rack rate!
"To Sleep is to dream" and where better than in the 5 Star Culloden Hotel's dreamlike setting, with its superbly appointed suites, which are quite simply the last word in luxury and good taste. As you would expect from a hotel of perfection and prestige, each guest room is exquisitely decorated and tastefully furnished to provide a true feeling of calm and relaxation. Many of the rooms have wonderful views over the hotel gardens and down towards Belfast Lough. Rooms with disabled facilities are on request basis and are subject to availability.
A dream hotel - would go back tomorrow and probably will!
Prices in hotel for tea, coffee were very high. It has a very corporate feel catering for businesses and not alot of atmosphere for ordinary guests. None of rooms had view of the waterfront which was disappointing. Rooms had lovely beds and cotton duvets, but due to lack of atmosphere in rest of hotel probably wouldn't go there again. Well situated for Belfast City Airport.
WHat a wonderful hotel - stayed here before and it was super, but this time they made us feel so special. Our room wasn't ready as there was a big wedding - so they upgraded us to one of their beautiful suites. The staff are more than helpful and extremely pleasant and efficient.
My room overlooked the service alley which was being used 24 hours a day The food was not up to the standard I would expect of the hotel The staff were very friendly and helpful
This was by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in. Location perfect and the hotel itself was beautifully maintained and the staff were just so polite and helpful. The food in the hotel was delicious and could not be faulted. The breakfast was plentiful and exellently presented. The food in the Cultra Inn was good but not as good. The Spa was Heaven!! We can't wait to relive our experience at the Culloden Estate!!
Absolute beautiful hotel in a magnificently surreal setting. Whilst a little on the pricy side, certainly and experience worth savouring. Spa facilities excellent.
This hotel certainly did not disappoint. It lived up to its reputation and I look forward to a return visit.
superb hotel - wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. excellent location, and incredibly helpful staff
Excellent stay from the moment we walked in the impressive front entrance till the moment we departed. We were made to feel at home immediately. We arrived before the check in time but were told to enjoy the hotels facilities and every effort would be made to get our room ready as soon as possible, and it wasn't long after that we were informed out luggage had been taken to our room and the keys presented to us. The setting is beautiful, even on the cloudy misty day we arrived on and the Cultra Inn, in the grounds, is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a meal in. Also a swim in the pool is a must. Breakfast was enjoyed not only because of the excellent food available but also due to the beautiful view out across the grounds to Belfast lough. I can't say enough about the service provide from every member of staff, it all combined to make our stay at the Culloden an amazing experience and its a hotel I would thoroughly recommend to anyone
Having traveled around the world to nearly 100 countries, I found the Culloden to be an extremely beautiful hotel, with a unique and distinctive character of its own. If you're in one of their suites, like we were, the view is spectacular. Perhaps what keeps this hotel from being just short of outstanding is the quality of their service and maintenance, both of which were somewhat below my expectation. Nevertheless, it is still one of the finest places to stay in the Northern UK and I will definitely be going back again.
My partner and I upgraded our room to an Executive Room and ended up in the Praegar Suite which was absolutley fantastic. The views were incredible and everything in the room was of the nicest quality and so clean. The pool and surrounding areas were lovely and water a nice temperature. The food in the Mitre restaurant was out of this world and the staff were professional and courteous at all times. We will definately return and would advise anyone to stay.
The Culloden Hotel is in a magnificent location - facilities are of a high standard, dining room was excellent and surprisingly reasonable. The outstanding feature of our stay was the exceptional courtesy and friendliness of the staff. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a relaxing break.
I marked it 5 out of 5 because it was just excellent. The staff couldn't do enough for you. The place is really beautiful and the facilitiies are excellent. I would definately stay there again
This was at best a three star hotel in an admittedly beautiful location. The food was average.
I found that the reception desk in the lobby had quite efficient staff but they did not show any interest in individuals. What you required was answered but nothing more was offered. It left you with a feeling of inpersonal but efficient service. On the other hand I had occasion to call the reception from my room. On the phone they sounded quite helpful. Other than that it was excellent service. The doorman was especially helpful.
Lovely hotel especially in the summer, gardens are lovely. very private hotel 10 mins taxi ride away from Belfast city center.
Great Breakfast. The bar lacks atmosphere but the Coultra bar on site is excellent.
REALLY BEAUTIFUL HOTEL, THE SETTING IS REALLY LOVELY AND PEACEFUL, THE STAFF ARE REALLY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.
