My wife, myself and our 5 year old have stayed twice now in a one bedroom apartment garden view apartment. We have found the room to be excellent, and both times we have stayed have had ocean views. The rooms have been large, with a wonderful spa and a fully appointed kitchen. On the property is an indoor pool (it is very deep though - particularly for younger kids) BBQ area, tennis courts and small gym. The property is also a short stroll to the beach and cafes. We would recommend the Cumberland for those wishing to visit Lorne.
We spent a lovely weekend at the Cumberland. A refurbished 1 bedroom apartment which was very clean and a great ocean view. The young man at reception was more than helpful and very friendly. I would definately stay there again but would love to stay longer next time.

Great spot, gym, indoor pool, spa and sauna were all great, bbq area also very good - will use that next time. Staff were friendly and knew the local area very well, and were very helpful. Peaceful and quiet at night - perfect for a great nights sleep. We will definitely be back to stay for longer next time. We also had a great view from our garden apartment/room, could see the beach. Apartment large and comfy, has everything you need. Excellent all round.

stay was fantastic... would have liked a betta rate- stayed 2 nites @ 270.00 per nite, would loved to stay another but too dear, asked if we could have a beta rate, but they said no!!!! hotel/resort was empty mid week just afta holidays, wouldn't u have thought it would be beta to have some guests at a cheaper rate than none at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This hotel was fabulous. The rooms were modern, spacious, and clean. Surf boards were available for a 2 hour rental each day. fantastic! The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful, and our stay was enjoyable.
up market, modern split-level, self catering large apartment. wonderful sea views from large windows and private balcony use of resort facilities, would recommend.

Well located with good facilities, in a seaside town that provides a lot of activities.
The bedroom was very small and faced the outside corridor and was quite noisy at night - it was not possible to sleep with window open for both privacy and quietness. The front of the apartment however was spacious and had a glorious ocean view
apart from the heating making far too much noise, it was an excellent experience all round.
Front receptionist great personality well mannered and very helpful. Location grounds are immacculant. Please pass the compliment her.

The Cumberland Resort was a beautiful place to say and well positioned. Right in the centre of Lorne but incredibly peaceful. It had all the facilities we required plus more and the staff were incredibly friendly. Definitely worth a return visit.
