Cumbria Grand Hotel Grange Over Sands

Had a great stay,the rooms are clean and simple theres a warm welcome from the staff.Theres loads to eat at breakfast(Buffet) for the full english, tea and coffee on tap. Had a meal in the restaurant and it was superb a la cart.. Try the creme brulee..Would go back again for a short stay..

Great Stay! Good Food. Room Service was prompt and the night porter very professional.

Meals are always of good quality. Rooms vary but there seems to be an ongoing refurbishment programme. Staff of whom a gtreat proportion are not British are hard-working and friendly.

The absence of shower made this a very poor rating for facilities. in addition there was no telephone and a light bulb was broken on check in. The carpets were frayed and damp in the bathroom The staff were very friendly and helpful, but one waitress in the am forgot to bring us coffee, then forgot milk and then forgot toast. The evening meal was average at best . The staff were a plus but overall a poor hotel rating from us

Not particularly helpful when we needed to check in early to change for a wedding.

The Bay View suite had excellent facilities, a four poster bed, large well-equipped bathroom with bath and shower. The views were lovely particularly overlooking the garden. A good breakfast was on offer, though the evening meal was average. Grange Over Sands is well worth a visit. A wonderful relaxing weekend overall.

Lovely location and spotlessly clean room. Excellent food and service. Perfect place for a romantic break. Will be returning when we get the chance!

The Cumbria Grand Hotel was a large Victorian establishment which was built when space saving was no object. The dining room was very large and impressive. Coach parties were there while we were there and this helps to keep the place lively and friendly. I would certainly go there again.
