Excellent location. 1 min walk from Green park tube station. Clean apartments. Very impolite & rude hotel staff when i refused to pay a 50pounds deposit which was not written on the terms of the booking.
Good value for money, but a bit run down. Plus side is the rooms are huge. Hard to find so much space at a hotel in London, for that price.
The location is very good and the rooms are spacious except for the kitchen which is basically a converted cupboard. However the large rooms are chilly even for summer and the noise from the delivery trucks in the street annoying because of the lack of double glazing. The apartment could have have been made much classier by providing decent curtains; they seemed to be old tablecloths which didn't even cover the full length of the windows.
We had a pleasant time at the Hotel. The location was excellent but the street noise was terrible. Overhead fans would be of benefit too.
I reserved a double studio for nine nights at the beginning of June. Upon arrival, we had been upgraded to a one bedroom. The location is perfect and service was great. The apartments are not as luxurious as depicted on the website, but they are clean and perfectly, pleasantly livable. The bed could be more comfortable, and the kitchenette was very small (really only good for using the microwave, cooking toast, and using the refrigerator). However, the rest of the apartment was quite spacious and the tv & internet worked well. I definitely felt at home and the incredibly location could not be beat. I would consider staying here again.
Very reasonable price for such a superb location. Simple, basic lodging but had everything we needed, including wireless access in the room.
The location, pricing and facilities are more than what we bargained for. The room is clean, spacious and quite adequately furnished. The staff were most helpful and often fill us in with recommendations to visit. Almost everything was wonderful. Except that our bedroom is near the main road and I get disturbed by occasional late night traffic. Nothing to worry if you are a deep sleeper. Overall, we will like to give 2 thumbs up for our experience. Highly recommended!
As stated in other reviews, the rooms we stayed in were a bit outdated. The bedroom, bathroom and living room were of reasonable size, but the kitchen was the size of a closet. Rooms were kept very clean though, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The best thing about this hotel is of course its location. Right in the heart of Mayfair and only two minutes walk from the nearest subway station.
The hotel was very conveniently located near Green Park tube station, at which you could be reaching most of the tourist points in london in less than half an hour. There are plenty of restaurants nearby if you don't mind spending a lot on that. Staff was helpful and polite. The room was not too big but the bed's size is impressive. Furniture and decorations were quite old in the room, but was clean to be used. Kitchen was small, the space was only sufficient for 1 person to cook very simple dishes. We stayed on the 1st floor and it was a busy street outside, so the traffic made a lot of noise during the day and night. Gerenally, it was a homey place to stay and with it's promotional price it can be worth trying.
curzon plaza was best of 6 hotels we stayed at in e.u. staff front desk very helpfull, room large and very clean. will return to this hotel as is in convenient location for walking london
A lot of review mentions a small bathroom. But who cares about the bathroom? However, kitchen was the smallest I have ever seen. The room was well equiped, but shabbiness and wear&tear is normal for London, I think. Water stinked qutie a bit possibly due to aged water pipes. Location was fantastic. Cant's say much about service, but they were ok. I would recommend for those who are looking for a budget accomodation with kids.
The building is a very old building resulting in windows not been able to close properly. The central heating in the bedromm does not work and an eletric radiator was supplied.Because of leakes in the windows it was extremely cold. You have to keep the bathroom water taps open for motre than 10 to 15 mins before you can get luke warm water.Hot water was not vailable.Certainly the place is not worth the money I had to pay. I will never stay there again and will never even reccommend to any one else.
Pretty old and decrepit especially bathroom and kitchen, while very clean. But with some renovation would be much better. However if renovated with it location I guess the price would rocketed...For one night we spent there it was OK...
It's best choice for weekend in London for two.
The bathroom is very old, ugly and tiny. (It looks like half finished), You cannot lock your room without the keys, it is inconvenient if you have few people in the apartment, you need to ask someone to lock the door and there is only one lock given to you. My son was sleep, and I need to wake him to lock the door, and left the key for safety reason (Because he cannot go out the apartment without the key, he need the key to lock the place.) Otherwise, it is a nice place to stay.
The reception staff were all so lovely and helpful, it was a pleasure dealing with them. We booked a studio room and were upgraded to a lovely large room. The room was clean and the location is unbeatable. We will 100% stay at the Curzon Plaza when we are next in London.
The furniture in the large one bedroom apartment was sparse and cheap, hardly comfortable. The self catering aspect amounted to a microwave, no possibility to cook anything, in the kitchen cupboard. The daily servicing of the room did not include washing any plates or cups. Unlike most hotels in the area, there was no live sport available on the TV. On the positive side, the location in Mayfair is ideal and the free Wi-fi internet is useful.
Place is clean althrough walls desperately need some paint. Great location, 5 min to Piccadilly Circus.
We stayed in a one bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor. It is a very old building so the apartments are very dated i.e. the skirting/windows are all old old and windows not double glaze so bring ear plugs. Kitchen is the size of a wardrobe - two rings, kettle, microwave and fridge. Living room and bedroom great size. It has NO pictures at all on the walls and not one piece of the furniture in the living room matched. However, if you get a good deal the location is 100% and it is very clean and you get room service every day.
