Limited food in the area means you either have have to eat in expensive restaurants or backpacker places. Highly recommended are the guided night walks in the forest. "Relaxing and laid back. Wonderful situation in the rainforest proper. Fresh water pool for swimming - with the turtles. River and rainforest walks, wildlife at your doorstep. Cabins good but not soundproof - expect to hear your neighbours! Food okay but like the rest of area expensive. Restaurant decor needs a bit of a "lift". Helpful staff organised great Noah Valley Guided walk - highly recommended. Just wish had time for a Massage and Spa." - John Millward

Getting there: To get here from Cairns, take the Captain Cook Highway North from Cairns ( It's the only main highway). Follow the signs to Mossman ( it's a direct drive ). Once in Mossman, drive through the town and you will see a road veering left signed " Daintree Township/ Daintreee River Ferry". Veer left and follow that road for apprximately 25km. At that point you will take a right turn at the sign "Daintree River Ferry/ Cape Tribulation". Follow that road to the ferry and cross the river by ferry. Once across the ferry, we are on Turpentine Road which is on the left, 19km over the ferry. There is a large "Heritage Lodge" sign on the corner. We are 700 metres down Turpenrtine Road. Another sign marks our entrance. The drive is approximately 2 hours in total and is all on well signed, good quality sealed roads.
Car parking: Undercover parking avavailble close to all cabins.
Child Policy: Children under 4, free if using existing bedding.
