Dar Calipau is a luxurious Riad, situated in the heart of Fez medina.
Founded in the 9th century and home to the oldest university in the world, Fez reached its height in the 13th–14th centuries. The urban fabric and the principal monuments in the medina – madrasas, fondouks, palaces, residences, mosques and fountains - date from this period. Fez has established itself as the country's cultural and spiritual centre.
The atmosphere of the city is reflected in this lovely Riad. The owner made sure that the renovation was carried out according to local tradidions and using local crafts. The lounge, patio and the terrace are all decorated in Fassi style, making Dar Calipau the true ambassador of Fez hospitality.
