Darwin Central Hotel

Excellent experience. Hotel located right in heart of Darwin's centre. Staff couldn't have done any more for us and were always friendly and happy to help. Room clean and spacious. Wouldn't hesitate to stay at Darwin Central next time.

I stayed here two nights and was treated very well by all the staff. On check in I was upgraded to a premium suite which was a delightful surprise. I would easily stay there again and would definitely recommend it. It is expensive, but very easy walking distance from the main hub.

Terrific location, right in the city centre, making it a great place to stay and explore Darwin city and other regions. Very clean and great services.

The Darwin Central Hotel provided extremely good value for money. The room was clean and modern, and was serviced well. The breakfast service was efficient but relaxed and the hotel is located, as the name suggests, in the heart of the city. The only issue with this place, that appears to be the case for many hotels in Darwin, is that the internet service is expensive. Otherwise, having stayed in a couple of places in Darwin during my trip, I would highly recommend this place.

great location.

I was very happy with my room, it was large and clean. The check in was efficient, but they were busy and it took a bit longer than expected to check in. On check out they looked after our luggage before we had to leave for the airport and they also let us have a shower at the pool to freshen up as the weather was very hot. Great hotel in good location, would stay again.

Very neat clean hotel. However staff were very cold & unfriendly. Parking is not included in price. Where most motels around included it free.

The Darwin Central Hotel allowed us to enjoy our trip and travel without giving a thought to our accommodation. My every need was satisfied and the staff didn't make an issue of small inconveniences - we didn't want our upgrade as we wanted a king-sized bed but they gave us another room with a king-sized bed which was very nice, and made the transition very smooth for us. Also I was slack and checked out late but they didn't bother us about it. The decor is not stylish but the rooms are fresh, clean and sharp. Can't complain!

great hotel, great location, close to city, will recommend

It is not my first time to stay at this hotel, I love to stay there, because of is location, its really central, very friendly staff and it is clean and nice... The only things which upset me: last time I booked B&B for two...and used my points... when I arrived I was informed by hotel staff at the reception that I booked only room no breakfast... It was disappointment... and breakfast could be better... I received letter from manager, informing that renovation is still on-going...

The hotel, staff, location were excellent, will stay there again. Only complaint being, breakfast is the only meal provided by the hotel itself. All room service food is supplied by Salvatores Cafe on the perimeter of the hotel. We went for an evening meal and left the meal on the table and walked out, it was the worst meal we have ever been served. We left a note on the table letting them know. The only decent part was the bottle of WA wine we bought at $22 the other $59 was wasted on a shared entre which wasn't what we ordered and two completely inedible, tasteless pasta dishes which contained almost raw bacon pieces and almost raw chicken pieces - a real health hazzard!

The best motel in Darwin - quiet, clean, excellent staff = very professional. My favourite; I always try to stay there.

Darwin Central Hotel is well priced and is in a great location close to the Mall. I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a better room. I found the staff helpful and friendly and can recommend this hotel for value and convenient location.

Good Location with easy access to Mitchell Street ,Staff where more than helpful and very friendly.

I was wary when booking, thinking this might just be an old pub with a facelift. What I found was a modern hotel that was a notch above the competition - very spacious room and bathroom, very clean and well presented, some design flair in the room, and central but far enough from Darwin's backpackers bars to be quiet, and reasonable tarrif. A pleasant surprise!

very happy with our stay, all as expected

We were very happy with the Darwin Cental Hotel. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The location was ideal as last time when we were in Darwin we stayed further out. The buffet breakfast was exceptional value and would certainly reccomend it. We will definitely stay there again.

Basic hotel with too high prices. Reception staff on checking in - efficient, cold and repeatitive manner. Checking out staff friendly and helpful, personable. Breakfast - hot food mainly fried, no healthy alternatives visible. Staff helpful when healthy alternative requested. In dining area I felt a picture was inappropiate and requested it's removal
