Daunou Opera Hotel Paris

The best thing about the Daunou Opera is its location - in the heart of the Opera area. Very convenient and the hotel is within easy walking distance to many of the sights of Paris. The rooms are typically small. The place needs a bit of an uplift and a repainting program seems to be underway - but nothing substantial. Bit run down. Staff were neither very friendly nor helpful but this is not unusual in most of the smaller Paris hotels. A good enough place to stay for a short time - and very convenient.

Hotels in Paris are almost always on the pricey side and this one is no exception. But it is close to Opéra; the rooms have been redone recently with taste, and although they are somewhat small they offer all one needs for a short stay in the city. I would recommend this Paris hotel over many others in the same price range.

Wonderful location. Right in the centre of Paris. Great place to stay when touring the city or even if you have business there. Very good nightlife in the area (jazz, restaurants, bars). Will stay there again. (Rooms particularly large by Paris standards - that would't be hard I hear you say?)

Nice central friendly hotel. Rooms are basic, but a good size and have everything you need. Ideal for visits to several main attractions, and especially Harry's New York Cocktail bar (home of the Bloody Mary) which is just across the road!!!

Reception staff were very welcoming. Hotel is centrally located just off the Place de L'Opera and surrounded by lots of bars. Twin rooms were quite spacious. All in all nothing to complain about. I for one would recommend it to anyone.

Great hotel. Pleasant modern decor. Confortable beds. Quiet street. Friendly and helpful staff. The location is fantastic. Only a few minutes walk to the Galleries shopping area, The Ritz Hotel, The Lourve and a vast number of cafes. It was a great place to stay for a wonderful time in Paris.

We had stayed at this hotel 15 years ago and knew its location. After such a long period in between we did not know what to expect. However we were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed our stay. I also booked accomodation there for a friend who is going to Paris in October

The situation of the hotel is ideal for a tourist with easy access to Metro, shopping and local tourist sites. While comfortable it would benefit from redecoration. The staff were very helpful and obliging. I enjoyed my visit.

Good location within Paris' Opera district. Very friendly, personable staff. The facilities are good, clean, but a little crampt for 4 people with a sofa-bed pulled out. Otherwise, it was fine.

The staff were friendly, welcoming and courtenous, we enjoyed our stay in a delightful French hotel of charactor and frienship. As a Travel Consultant of 15 years I highly recommend.
