When we arrived, the room smelled slightly of cigarette smoke but nothing too bad. Overall the room was clean, conveniently located and the staff were very helpful. There was a Metro stop right in front of the hotel so we were able to get wherever we needed to go quickly and easily. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.
Good Location near to subway & very safe. small rooms but Ok.
The rooms are well appointed and decorated in a conmtemporary style of carpeting, wall covering, drapery and light fixtures. They are small to medium in size with compact modern bathrooms.
This hotel was perfect for my wife and me. Clean, friendly staff, and an excellent price. In addition, it is at an express subway stop: we could be in midtown in minutes.
The shower was broken but fixed very quickly. The doorman was anything but lol however I had a great experience. You can't beat this price in NYC and if you do it will be a dump. This place gives you a very good service for cheap. I found that if you make your reservation after 8pm or 9pm its usually under $100 which for NYC its a steal. The location is very convenient if you're not familiar with the city. The area looks pretty safe too. oh before I forget always get the non smoker rooms they're the best...
it can get almost every famouse views. but the room is too small, lacks freezer. the elevator should be renovated, and it seems that it can break down anytime.
Good location for busienss site on upper west side.
Our romm had no dark curtains, it was too bright in the morning, we wok up to early because of the light. Most of the staff were not very friendly.
Fantastic service and pricing in an ideal area of New York.
Staff helpful, room needed painting and attention in general
For someone requiring a bed & shower in Manhattan at a good price I can only recommend the Days Hotel Broadway. Sure, it's a little away from the bright lights but the subway is only a matter of yards from the front door and you can be in most of the places you need to be in 10-20 mins. Central Park is 7-8 mins walk, then a stroll across the park will have you directly on "Museum Mile". The hotel itself is simple and unpretentious, the staff were fine, and I had no problems checking out at the ungodly hour of 4.15am. I'd read revues that claimed there were no lifts in this hotel - I'm confused by that as there are two lifts which are clearly not recent additions. For $50+taxes per night you will not be expecting the Waldorf Astoria, but if you seek good, value-for-money & comfortable accomodation for a short stay in Manhattan I can recommend the Days Hotel Broadway.
Clean, affordable, friendly and helpful staff. The room was small, but very clean and well equiped. The only con I found was a slow drain, but what can I expect from an older hotel in Manhatan? I will highly recommend it to anyone . I will book it again if I need to.
The room was clean and very adequate - it had internet access and a fair-sized safe. The lobby is rather old fashioned and the lifts are decidedly crummy and in need of decoration and sprucing up. There is no restaurant but there are lunch counters just round the corner. The hotel is very conveniently located on the upper west side of Manhattan, and very close to a subway stop and three blocks from Central Park.
I recommend this hotel for any visitor as it is near to the subway ,and u can reach any wher from it
Great transportation from and to the hotel via the subway. I would recomend it to my friends.
Price is reasonable for Manhattan. There's an underground station on the corner of the street and Central Park is only 3 or 4 blocks away so despite being on 94th the location is still good.
The elevator, and front lobby looked very dark and uninviting.. as did the dreary hallways. I was unimpressed with the windows and lack of a view as well.
The best part of this hotel is the affordable price. The rooms were very basic... not very large, but were perfect for a place to crash each night. The Days hotel is conveniently located right beside a subway stop for the 1,2, and 3 subway lines. The 1 is the "local" line and makes a lot of stops and will take you all the way from the upper west side to battery park where the statue of liberty is located. The 2 and 3 are express trains and will quickly get you to times square in under 10 minutes total - from the time you step out of the hotel until the the time you are walking in times square. I hope this helps everyone... the hotel is worth the price, but don't expect too much.
I was happily surprised for the price we paid... everything went well... great hotel for the price, for sure.
for a "2" it is well priced and good/safe location.
I enjoyed my stay at the Days Hotel Broadway for the most part. I had some considerable trouble checking in as there was a large misunderstanding on payment, however all was smoothed over and I was upgraded to a suite for the remainder of my stay. The internet connection was extremely unpredictable and frustrating, as sometimes it was not possible to get any type of signal. The room was kept spotless and was thoroughly cleaned each day. Location wise, I was quite happy as I could hop on the subway and be downtown in mere minutes. Not a luxury hotel by any means, but my experience was relatively good and was a great place to rest your head at night. I did, however, hear several other guests complain while at the front desk about cleanliness issues, toilets backing up, however this is something I did not experience in any form. I would stay here again.
