This hotel is situated very close to Pub street and lots of restaurants and markets. It is a peaceful oasis with a serene atmosphere in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Siam Reap. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were plentiful and well made. We never got the chance to eat dinner but had lunch in the cafe which again was of a high standard and quality. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would definitely recommend it.
This hotel was wonderful and every bit worth the cost (note the nickname is from another review I am a very happy customer :) ). Though it was very much at the high-end on cost compared to other hotels in the area it it is worth treating yourself. The staff was amazingly great and the front door staff even remembered our name and greeted us by name every time we came back. The hotel was extremely clean and tranquil. Even though the hotel was right downtown and close to everything when you went into it you felt like you were transcended to a tranquil relaxing paradise. The rooms were setup to make wonderful use of space in fact we took note of it to possible copy in our own home. The breakfast was extensive and delicious. The pool had these really relaxing almost like beds along it that were so relaxing that many people could be found asleep in the them. We traveled for two and half weeks through Southeast Asia and this hotel was our favorite of the entire trip and we found it to be the perfect place to stay for our anniversary. If you can swing the cost I definitely recommend you stay her as you are guaranteed not to be disappointed.
Wow! Everything was perfect! Our garden view room was lovely. The breakfasts were fantastic with a compact but satisfying hot menu to choose from aswell as a separate area with fruits, yoghurt, cereals, pastries etc. The pool area was gorgeous and a unique experience. The spa treatments I had here were also excellent. My treatment included natural products which are produced by hand in Cambodia not out of a tube. What I liked most about this hotel was the staff in general, everyone was so helpful, they were extremely polite and friendly. There are always reputable tuk tuks outside the hotel who provide a service to the hotel and it's guests so we always felt looked after. In saying that though the hotel is placed very well and Bar St/Pub St the popular night market/restaurant area is only five minutes up the road on foot. This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and I have travelled all over the world would not hesitate to go back!!!! Worth every cent! :)
I cannot say enough about how much I loved my stay at this hotel!! The staff were amazing, the location was great, and I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. The tour guide (Vintu) and driver (Roy) were fantastic. My husband and I would not stay anywhere else!
Loved every aspect of the hotel and cannot wait to return
Our family of 6 (2 adults, 4 kids) had a wonderful time at Hotel de la Paix. We were offered and accepted an upgrade to 2 of the duplex Rooms upon check in. Breakfast was great, pool divine after the heat and dust. From the hotel you are a stroll away from several wonderful restaurants, markets etc. We booked our tour guide & van through the hotel: that worked out fine but you will still need to do your homework as far as selecting the things you want to see, rather than letting the guide do it for you :). Great all around!
I found that this hotel went beyond all expectations i highly recomend it!
The De la Paix was beautifully decorated in a mix of art deco and modern asian style. Stayed in the standard room which was very generous in size and had a beautiful bathroom featuring rainfall shower. Some nice touches in the hotel - an ipod in the room, breakfast that was half buffet and half a la carte, served with great coffee. Service was lovely, very attentive without being fussy. Would definitely stay again if returning to Siem Reap. Good value for money.
If you love modern design with a serious wink to the local atmosphere, this is the place to be. Truly, everything was beautiful and the restaurant can compete with any Michelin starred restaurant in Europe. The only minor point is the location on a very busy steet corner in Siem Reap which one can thankfully leave behind as soon as one steps over the threshold into a very cool and sleek oasis.
Great central location! Swimming pool was very nice, great for the mid day break from the tombs. Walking distance to local restaurants and markets, no tuk tuks required.
This is a great hotel, we truly enjoyed our stay in Siem Reap
I have stayed in many hotels in my lifetime but this is the best on all counts.

We hesitated between the Raffles (recommended by friends) and this hotel in Siem Reap - and were delighted that we chose Hotel de la Paix. Far exceeded expectations on all fronts. As long as you like refined art deco, the hotel is great, and the quality of service is outstanding. Superb breakfast. Very well situated near the heart of town.
Outstanding hotel, staff and service. Good location in town, rather than some kms outside. Great pool and spa area, quiet and peacful, best restaurant we found in Siem Reap and a great, chill out bar. An absolute joy.
Overall it was a very nice experience and the staff were really nice and helpful.
