Cheap and location convenient hotel. Took a room on the uppest floor a bit hard to climb all the stairs but it worth that! romantic view guaranteed! Nice staff/clean/ separated toilets/no free shower/ reasonable choice
Low price but also low standard. Using shower is 2,50 Euro extra!! Good location (although alot of prostitution on this street) and friendly staff. Will probably stay elsewhere next time.
This hotel is close to Les Halles, the Pompidou Centre and many cafes restaurants and clubs and is inexpensive. A nearby club played loud music until 4am on Saturday night. It was quiet on Sunday night. The room was clean and had a washbasin and bidet and a TV. The shower (available at a charge) and the toilet were down the corridor. The concierges spoke good English. The stairs and corridors were narrow and twisted
the de la vallee is a very basic hotel but l found it clean and the staff very pleasant. if your looking to go to paris on a tight budget and dont mind "roughing" it, this is an excellent choice. location is excellent and close to all major sights.
Very good service! But we where a bit surprised when we found out, at the reception when checking in, that there was no bathroom in our room. I think you need to wright that more clearly in the hotel description. Otherwise a very ok hotel at that prize
Best things are price & location. Narrow staircase, must climb 2 flights to check in. No help with bags. Very clean. Double bed not comfy & WC is on staircase between floors at the curve. If you are hearty this place is fine & can't beat price.
Our hotel room was not large or fancy, but the staff were great, the area was safe and the location was SPECTACULAR. We chose the hotel because our son is four and gets fatigued walking long distances. We found this hotel to be a convenient hub for a lot of the areas we wanted to explore. It was good value for the money.
You get what you pay for. This is a ONE star hotel, the rooms are tiny, sparce but clean. Narrow, steep stairs with no lift. Shared loo & shared shower (extra) unless you upgrade your room. But, location is good, but "colourfull" - so if peep shows etc offend, stay away! Probably the cheapest central Paris hotel stay, & for a reason. Staff were great & friendly & while the facilities were basic & old; everything was clean & very safe. Buyer discretion is advised. Having said that, the hotel was full in early May & with good clientele.
Easy access to Metro within a few blocks. Room was clean and what I expected for what we paid. Nice at night with a lot of people in the area. We didn't have any problems in the short stay that we had.
Fair Price, Toilet and Shower are outside the very small bedroom. 2.5euro per person for Shower. Good Location and Dining area nearby.
The location was brilliant very central for all the site seeing. The hotel was very basic, and staff were not overly helpful. But perfect as a base for sleeping in...
it is very basics but good location, walking distance to les chatelets
You have to pay for shower (but not much) and toilets and shower are outside of the room.
This is a humble hotel in a lively area that is also very central. We loved the double glazing on the windows (no street noise at all), didn't mind that there was no elevator, found the staff very helpful. The communal shower was very clean and the hotel tidy. For a cheapie in Paris, it was fine.
It was a good hotel, well located specially if the people need to leave early at the morning, because it has to close the metro station and the straight line for the airport begininning at 5:30 a.m.
Location in the heart of Paris and close to Post Office and self-service laundrette and internet outlets. Stairs could be a problem if you have a lot of luggage. Relatively clean and quiet the week I spent there. Amiable staff and good petite dejeneur. All staff spoke English.
The hotel has a very central location on a pedestrian street between Les Halles and Centre G. Pompidou, within easy walking distance from the Marais, the latin quarter, Notre Dame etc etc. The downside is that the area, close to a shopping center, dominated by fast food joints and sex shops has nothing of the typical Paris-charm associated with more residential areas. It is perfectly safe though. I'd say it is convenient for a short stop in Paris, but for a longer stay I'd want a different neighborhood. The hotel has basic facilities, shared showers and bathrooms, no elevators (but lots of stairs!). The welcome is not overwhelming but completely satisfactory. I stayed at the top floor in a room that had a nice view over the rooftops of downtown Paris, but I guess the room can get really hot if there is more of a summer than I had. The price for a room at this location is very good.
This is the budget hotel so do not expect anything. The location is very good. You can not get any cheaper hotels that close to the city centre. Before you go to this hotel make sure that you have your own bed linen. Overall, if you do not need a lot of facilities, then it is a good place to stay.
For such price hotel and its location great. Like other similar hotels (without WC and shower in the room) that I had been, this was the best (in the room was sink and bidet, TV, room was cleaned every day).
This hotel benefits from outstandingly friendly (and multi-lingual) service and is about as cheap as you can find so close to the centre of Paris. It is walking distance from Notre Dame and has 2 metro stations within 5 mins walk (Chatelet and Etienne Marcel). That said, having to pay a couple of Euros to shower feels like a bad sign and in such a small room (6' x 6'), the presence of a bidet, chained down (so that it doesn't get stolen?) seems like an ill-conceived waste of space. This hotel represents great value for money but I would hope that if I visited Paris again, I'd be able to afford a little more room.
