The 103 exclusive chambers feature exquisite, original glazed tiles, canopies and stone carvings, coupled with more contemporary interior design elements. Duplex suites also present lounges built into the three domes that crown the building, creating a series of unique vistas across the rooftops of the Spanish capital. With a delectable restaurant, set to feature on the gastronomic map of Madrid, and state-of-the-art meeting rooms, the de las Letras is a place to reward good business with leisure.

De las Letras Hotel & Restaurante Madrid Guest Reviews

Great hotel, great location..! Spa also nice but hamam needs an urgent renovation!

4.2 out of 5

Overall, the Hotel De las Letras (DLL) was a very good experience. The hotel itself is lovely, blending classic and modern design elements. The twin beds in my room appeared at first to be light and flimsy -- and they moved around too easily on wheels -- but proved comfortable. The bathroom was excellent and even spacious. I had dinner one night in DLL's restaurant; very good food and service. The front-desk staff were businesslike and helpful. The only downside was when they suggested booking a taxi for my return trip to Madrid Airport. The taxi driver seemed to know the hotel staff, and when he dropped me at the airport, he made up additional charges (totaling around 9 Euro) that were not listed anywhere in the taxi. As he had my bags in his truck and I needed to check in for my flight, I decided not to argue with the taxi driver. The hotel's use of an unscrupulous taxi driver, though, was a letdown after an otherwise very good stay at DLL.

The hotel is centrally located, safe and clean. Staff at the reception desk couldn't have been more helpful giving full details of the facilities with openong times on arrival and a quick orientation as to where the hotel was situated relative to the main attractions. On checkout we were offered a left luggage facility without asking and kindly checked in online prior to departure. Everybody we came in contact with were extremly heppful.

The hotel delivered more than I expected, which was a traditional single room with shower en suite, usiall occupying a corner ofhe former room, leaving and unattractie and largely unsuble L-shapd arrangement. It's all very well desinged, with outstanding bathrooms and excelent sound insulation. Teh staff is exevtremely knowledgeable and competent. My only complaint: make the soaps a bit bigger. The tiny designer soaps probided are ecvellent but are friarly uselesss after two one shower.

English is not well spoken by reception and restaurant crew, making it hard to get what you want. Food quality was average, you'd expect more for the money. Location is perfect and beautiful room, clean and good beds. Recommended!

Beautiful hotel. It's a pity that the price is rather high.

An excellent hotel. We are a couple with a 2 year old. Having stayed in hotels in Madrid and other European cities I was weary as rooms tend to be on the small side but this exceeded expectations in every aspect. Clean, good bathroom, well equipped. Room was large enough for our daughter to run around in, sound proofed from the street below, air con, two flat screen TVs included canal+, Sky UK News, CNN. Hi-fi system was a nice extra. There is no kettle in room but the restaurant staff were happy to help us make up our daughter's milk. The staff at reception were excellent and very helpful. The terrace bar is great at night and a popular trendy venue for Madrilenos. For 70 pounds through ratestogo I cannot fault the place and strongly recommend it. Did not eat in the restaurant but for me, going to a cafe for breakfast is one of the delights of Madrid. However, when we did order coffee to the room the helpings were very generous. We will certainly stay here if we visit again.

We will always go back to De las Letras Hotel Madrid. They have the most comfortable beds in Europe! When you are doing extensive walking on your vacation, a lovely inviting bed increases the joy of the experience. We have stayed in almost every country in Europe and they win, hands down. As Goldilocks said: "Not too soft and not too hard." The spa was lovely.
