We stayed for 7 nights and found the hotel staff friendly and helpful throughout. There was a wide variety of breakfast choice available in a relaxed atmosphere. The room was cleaned well each day, with plenty of clothe space available. It was really pleasing that we could get BBC1 and 2 on the TV. As far as location, there is no better in Avignon. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.
This hotel is in an excellent location and is close to everything of interest in Avignon. It is very clean and well maintained and good value for money when booked over the internet. It has very helpful staff who speak good English.
I had a smallish room on the 5th floor of this hotel for 4 days in winter. It was warm, well furnished with Provencal character, kept well cleaned and had all the facilities needed with the exception of WiFi (WiFi only reaches the first few floors, tho' there is a lounge on the 1st floor which one may use). There were renovations going on below but it was kept pretty quiet. The staff were helpful and polite. The location is excellent -- on the main square close to the sights.
The staff were very welcoming and obliging. The room was a little cramped but very clean and quiet. Great location for sightseeing on foot around the town.We would definitely return to stay next time we are in Avignon.
Hotel central in Avignon and was pleasant and friendly enough. Very busy hotel. Parking nearby with no issues. The balcony area, was "tired" the wood flooring needs replacing. Very powerful water pressure in shower and bath. No complaints over all and would stay again.
Reception staff particularly helpful and polite. a brilliant hotel.
Very nice hotel with very friendly, helpful staff. Perfect location right in the centre of the old city of Avignon. The bigger Superior rooms have a great view straight onto Place de l'Horloge. Very occasionally can be a bit noisy when a local cafe / bar decides to play loud music till about 2 am. This only happened once in 6 days.
Great position on main square. Good soundproofing on rooms at front Nicer than average breakfast for a small French hotel Lift makes carrying cases much easier
Lovel hotel, great location, very friendly and helpful clerk at the reception counter.
Location is great. Rooms beautifully furnished. Staff very helpful and friendly. One of the reception staff even offered and came to a nearby photo shop with me when my limited French was not working. Excellent, and will stay there again.
The room is very nice. Breakfast is good. The location is great. It's just right in the town centre.
The hotel was a little more exoensive that what we wanted to pay but as we were upgraded to a higher standard room and the location, on the edge of the city square was perfect. Staff were very helpful re buses, etc. Avignon turned out to be our favourite city after travelling for 3 weeks in France.
Perfect location, very helpful staff, becaue of age and style rooms a little small but everything else makes up or the small inconvenience.
Great central location, friendly staff, room reasonable size
Well located hotel a few metres from the main square. Good and helpful service from the staff at the hotel reception desk.
The location is very good. It is not far away from the parking house.
This hotel was superbly located on the pedestrian plaza area, close to all the outdoor restaurants and very close to the Popes' palace and historical areas. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Breakfast room was bright, with full length glass windows one side. a nice surprise, as most in Europe are are very enclosed.
Excellent location and beautiful rooms. I loved the bath products and shampoos which we were given each day. The staff were really friendly and we enjoyed our stay very much.
Well located in cente of town; reasonably close to public car parking; pleasant breakfast; internet WiFi a bit problematic (i.e. would not work) but friendly and helpful staff.
Our room door key didn't work on the first and only night we spent there. In the morning we woke up to no water at all - even the toilets didn't work - we left early in the moring to find a cafe where we could use a toilet and wash our hands. The entire hotel had no water and the clerk at the desk never apologized. he kept asking is we would take breakfast and when I mentioned the key and water problem he answered in a very annoyed voice - what does that have to do with breakfast?
