Superb location and interesting building. Good breakfast, but a little expensive; it was a shame that an inclusive rate is not available. Otherwise a most enjoyable stay.
This is a convenient hotel - very close to the town centre and perfect location for visiting the Somme region. Lovely high ceilings and comfortable furniture, though bed mattress a bit hard......and restaurant a bit expensive but overall 8/10
Staff very helpful and friendly - we were travelling with an 8 month old baby and the staff upgraded our room so that we could fit in the travel cot and so that we were in a quiet part of the hotel.
Good location clean and reasonable service
First rate Hotel with very friendly helpfull staff it was a pleasure to stay there.
Rooms are currently being refurbished to a simple elegance. Very quiet location despite being in city centre which makes access to restaurants easy. Hotel restaurant is a weak point.
Very disappointed with room, we booked a 'Luxe room' as it was a special anniversary and the rooms on the internet looked so nice. However, the actual room we stayed in was very small and masculine - not very romantic. As the hotel restaurant was fully booked we asked about other places to eat and were told there were only TWO!!!! Alas we found quite a few more. However, I would like to say the hotel was very clean and with the exception of one, all the staff were helpful and polite.
Former abbey, now offering attractive hotel accommodation. great location in the centre of Arras. Very friendly staff and excellent food in the restaurant.
We were very pleased with everything the hotel offered, but the restaurant food and the service were exceptional. We will certainley make a return visit.
The hotel was perfectly friendly and welcoming but we felt the restaurant was a bit too fussy and formal. Ironically our wine wasn't chilled enough and they did get one of our orders wrong. Having said that they were happy to replace the wine with another (more expensive) bottle.
Hidden away frm the main road, but only a few minutes walk to the grand'place. It's worth upgrading to the Luxe rooms.
A comfortable, central hotel
The Hotel is a little difficult to locate in the centre of Arras, despite the well intentioned signposts coloured Orange, it is however a jewel in the crown to stay in. The Staff spoke English and were very friendly and helpful. Good place to visit World War I Battlefieids. Decor and Restaurant in particular very good. Restored Jesuit Monastery and very opulent feel for the price. Close to Place de la Heros. Rooms very nicely appointed and I thought very good value for money. Would highly recommend.
Restaurant nice, Good wine list though.
Very useful to have the security for your car overnight.
The major problem you'll have is finding the hotel through the maze of one-way streets in Arras. Once there, you'll find an oasis of calm in the middle of the city that boasts a reasonable restuarant and some nice rooms. Some of the decoration is a tad tired, but overall this is a nice place to stop.
