De Nemours Hotel Paris Guest Reviews

Small floor space as is expected in Paris. Spotless clean white bathroom thankfully.

4.2 out of 5

A small hotel with steep stairs of 6 flights but with a lift from the ground floor (which is the smallest lift I have ever seen! - it holds one in just bearable comfort!). Friendly staff in a pleasant district if Paris and only 200m from the Parmentier metro stop. Nice breakfast and would recommend to budget travellers not interested in the finer things a hotel can offer other than a place to sleep. No wifi

The hotel is located near to the metro station and the room is clean. However, the lift is only enough for one person with small luggage or two persons without luggage, which could be very inconvenient for traveller. The breakfast is served with only bread and drink. But overall for budget traveller, it can be consider a reasonably well hote.

I enjoyed my stay at the Nemours. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall good value for a Paris hotel. A special mention of the escalator which would surely win an award in the Guiness Book of Records as the world's smallest and neatest one! John Kidd Australia

An OK hotel for the price. Rooms are clean, but very modestly equipped - only 1 electric plug, no hair dryer, and stuff. The breakfast is 1 croissant, 1 small bread with jam and butter and coffee/chocolate/tea. But anyway, it's cheap, so it's OK.

For 2 star hotel this very good! Friendly stuff and all speak english! Good bathroom facilities and location just 1 minute walk to 3 different metro station or 30 min walk to city center. One thing, which you should note, especially if you travel with children - walls have no any sound insulation and you can hear everything, that occurs in other rooms, including very intime details ;-)

Location & price excellent and staff very friendly, helpful & spoke English. Room very small and rather tired, no drawers for clothes -only small hanging space & one shelf.

Nice and clean hotel, situated on a very good location. Very friendly (english speaking) crew. The rooms are not that special, but for the price it's more than reasonable. Of you don't like to walk the stairs, you might just have a problem here, cause the elevator is a very, very small (only for luggage e.g.). The stairs are fine!!

hotel is near to parmentier metro stop & there is a supermart directly opposite the hotel. The walls of the room are very thin, other than that it is ok.

Our rooms were clean and well looked after. My partner, son and I were given a pleasant and reasonably spacious triple room on the second floor and had the added benefit of a balcony at the front. My mother, who was travelling with us, had a nice double room for her sole use but was put on the fourth floor. This was a bit of a climb for her as she took one look at the tiny lift (room for one bag and one person only) and flatly refused to get into it! The hotel is conveniently placed for the metro and there are plenty of bars, shops and restaurants within walking distance. The Picasso Museum is within walking distance and is well worth a visit. We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Nemours and would definitely use it again.

We stayed here for 3 nights in July. Would have loved airconditioning as Paris was extremely hot however we were confident sleeping with windows open and curtains pulled. The room needed a coat of paint, the bathroom was very very small however most importantly it was all very clean. The lift is tiny and could be claustrophobic but it's ample for transporting suitcases and then you use the stairs. Being lovers of real French bread & good coffee we found the light breakfasts to be ideal and delicious. A good location close to excellent restaurants, bars, supermarket etc. Approx. 5 mins walk to nearest metro station and 20 mins walk to nearest 'City Tour' bus stop (yellow route). Extremely helpful, friendly staff. At the price it is a perfectly adequate place to stay in Paris.

A very small lift, too small for one person and a suitcase... and a 7 floor high building! So the only thing you can do is to send your luggage by the lift and to climb the stairs. The pricing is good as for Paris but the room was very small. The shower was leaking, spraying water around the bathroom. The location is perfect.

The staff was friendly and serviceminded. There was not so small foodstains on the carpet in the room and the refrigerator was out of order. But the bathroom was clean.

We stayed at the Nemours for 2 nights - we wanted a cheap hotel so we could spend our money on the other delights of Paris. The Nemours was very close to the tube (Parmentier station) - which was great. Clean room - basic size with a double bed and wardrobe. Bathroom was clean with a shower cubicle. Fresh towels and bed made up on second day which was good. We were on the top floor which had lovely views out of the french windows. THe worlds smallest lift so which could only fit myself and the luggage in, so my boyfriend had to climb to the top. I would definitely recommend this hotel for the budget traveller. We woke up late one morning and got downt o breakfast 15 min late but they were very accomodating and still brought out some tea and croissants for us. If you go, please try the Plein Soleil Bar nr the Metro station, we had a lovely meal one evening in there. Oh there is a supermarket right across the road which was great.

Overall a good cheap place to stay when visiting paris. Although the room is very small and basic it serves its purpose for sleep for those who spend all day sightseeing. The staff are helpful and courteous. I would consider staying there again when visiting paris

Very helpful staff. Entry to the hotel is 24 hours so there's no need to rush back to the room to avoid being locked out. Small.
