De l'Alma Hotel Paris

It's very central, in a quiet street. The location of the hotel is only 10 mins walk to the Eiffel Tower. The staff at the reception and the service ladies are very nice and friendly. The only thing negative is that it was smelly in the bedroom. Smell of an old hotel or dampness, not quite sure.

Huge rooms conveniently located in the 'diplomatic' centre of Paris (right next to the Roumanian embassy). Very safe area, huge breakfast. Nice and friendly staff. A good 'no frills' place for a couple of nights in the French Capital. I have recommended it to my parents.

Generally it was @ a great location, 5 minutes walk from Tour Eiffel and the River and 8 minutes walk from underground station. Small room, average continental breakfast, room could be cleaner, bed is bad. Pricing was pretty good, though.

We stayed at the Alma for 4 nights and it was enjoyable, given that this is a No-frills stay. Pros : Room was clean, bathroom was nice. Breakfast was included and was really great to have it. Staff was courteous and helpful - Reception speaks English. Location was very convenient - a supermarket, convenience store, restaurant, pizza very close. Of course, Eiffel Twr is indeed within walking distance. Safe area even late night. Cons : TV was lousy, No English programming at all. Stairs do not have adequate lighting.

Location was perfect, staff not very helpful, fridge still had half eaten food in it, Athough not a great place, the price and location was perfect and would stay there again

Miyuki and I spent two nights at the De l'Alma. It is located five minutes away from the Eiffel Tower and it is in a quiet neighborhood with many fine cafes and restaurants. The hotel is inexpensive and the staff friendly and very helpful. Enjoy.

Poor service from Evening porter , My wife and child stayed for some time and requested pillows as there was only one in the room. They were told that there was only two per room and that there were none available. I went out to buy some pillows .............

Small but clean and excellent location. Staff were friendly and good price. Everything you need for a short stay.

The room interior is too old and the hotel don't have bright signage. The breakfast is bad.

This was a nice place to stay until I walked into the bathroom--dirty floor and mold on walls. As someone who struggles with allergies to mold it was disappointing. The sleeping room was nice, the location and price were great and the staff friendly and helpful, but I won't stay there again.

I needed a room for one night for the rugby, it was fine, but I would probably not take my wife there. Good value for money and friendly.

Great location just a few minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower. The hotel facilities were average but the location makes up for it. Try the asian take away around the corner. Good food at a good price.

The bed was terribly uncomfortable (room 2). Shower was awful! plumbing was noisy. tv was worse

Very nice and helpfull staff, and their english was suprisingly good. A bit sheap brekfast, but there is a bakery 50 meters from the hotel, and lots of cafe's.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel, the staff spoke english and were very friendly. Breakfast was basic but adquate although surrounded by cafe's(across the road) and good food shops. The room was a good size with a double bed, hot shower good radiators and a cold fridge. I would definatly stay again and recomend to friends, ideal for short breaks.

The De l'Alma is a quaint hotel just a few minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower and the Ecole Milatrie Subway stop. The hotel room was small by American standards but was easy to move about in even with luggage (it had a safe too). The room was clean as was the bathroom with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. All the front desk staff spoke good English and were pleasant and helpful. Our room had windows that opened into the courtyard and was next to the elevator. We though that noise might be a problem but we never were bothered the entire time. This hotel is quiet and in a quiet neighborhood just a few steps away from beautiful sights, fresh markets and transportation. We will recommend this hotel to anyone we know who is traveling to Paris. Thank you to the staff at the De l'Alma for a wonderful experience!

Excellent location and decent service. The fridge was smelly and they could not turn off the heater. Room was small but for the price it is hard to complain. Overall good hotel for budget travellers.

For the price I paid, and for the great location, I couldn't ask for a better deal.

The hotel was within very close walking distance to the Eiffel Tower. I thought there wasn't enough brochures in the reception area for places to visit around Paris. The Satellite TV had only CNN for English visitors.

excellent location many good and reasonable restaurants near by, good area for female alone,friendly staff, breakfast not great but at the price who can complain. Bed a little lumpy, needs new springs.radiator didn't work in the room but I didn't ask to check as prefer the room cold so may have been easy to fix.
