Opened in 2005, the Hotel del Pintor is the kind of small urban hotels that combine design and technology with personalized attention. All in red, black and white, the decoration, work of the artist Pepe Bornoy, has in his pictures one of its main features and makes the Hotel an exclusive and avant-garde space in which Art is present everywhere. In the façade, mimetic with the surroundings, only the front signs suggest the amazing interiorism. The hall and the reception, with their magnificent pictures and modern decoration, are the centre of the Hotel

Del Pintor Hotel Malaga Guest Reviews

4.8 out of 5

A very good location of the hotel, in the middle of "everything" in Malaga. 15-20 min walk to the beach, 10 min to the air-port bus, about 5 min to the shopping street and to the Picasso museum. The air-condition worked fine, and the quality of the interiors was nice, whether one liked the actual art that decorated them, or not

I spent one night in Hotel Del Pintor /Malaga on my way to Cadiz and two nights on my way back from Cadiz. I had a room for one person, which was quite small but very peaceful, clean, modern, and really beautifully designed. The bathroom was wonderful! The young man in the reception and the cleaning lady were both very helpful and friendly. The only thing I missed was the lack of a normal breakfast; only coffee was available, but there were good economic restaurants near by. Picasso Museum, his birth house, Cervantes Theater and some very interesting shops were in the neighborhood. The price was okay considering the above mentioned. To this hotel I like to return.

The famous artist Bornoy has done his best in the rooms, obtaining a great effect: smart, modern, comfortable, fully equipped and luxurious without ostentation. The exhibited pictures, besides the decoration and the equipment, make each of them unique of its kind. All the 17 rooms are with air conditioning and heating, sound proofing, direct phone line, cable TV, ADSL Internet connection, and individual safe deposit box adapted for portable PC. Every room has a fully equipped bathroom with hair dryer and amenities, in which only original colour painted stripes interrupt the whiteness of walls and accessories.

This is a nice small hotel with reasonable prices and a friendly staff. Some of the artwork on display was not really in my taste. Unfortunately there is a serious flaw with the location: Calle Alamos is a very busy and extremely noisy street where even the soundproof windows aren't of much use.
