"This hotel is a good choice for the budget traveller in an otherwise expensive city. Made better by the location to Gare du Nord or Gare de l'Est and the Metro down the road if you don't feel like the comfortable walk to the Seine." - Anonymous
"Standard 2 star hotel. Friendly staff, but I would definetely recommend getting of at the Jacques Beausergant (sp?) stop- not Chateau D'eau!
Facilities were clean, it was just a little dated. Small but good shower, most rooms have a tiny balcony. Tons of patisseries etc in the area, convenient to loads, but kind of far from the Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees etc." - Anonymous

"Given the low price I would say its great. Clean, good service, good size of the room/shower... Best of all is the location, many metro lines go out from Place de la Republique to all of Paris. There are also ok restaurants around 'Republique'." - Johan Holmberg
