The location is the main thing about this hotel, in montmartre. The hotel in itself is not fancy and that great but feels secure and good.
Despite its tiny rooms (remember: this is Montmartre), the Hotel des Arts is value for money. Centrally located in a quiet street, just opposite Studio 28, one of the oldest and most wonderful cinemas of Paris. Colourful area, bars, restaurants, even fine quality clothing shops off place Clichy - and both the Sacre Coeur and the wonderful restaurant Le Wepler just a stone's throw away. A find if you're on a budget.
The hotel was exceptionally clean, quiet, and the staff at the desk the night we checked in was so helpful and kind. Definitely would stay here on any future trips to Paris.
Very good hotel, clean and cute, close to Montmartre art area, i.e. short walk. We loved it! Would definitely stay again.
room was on the chute - very warm so everyone had windows open, so conversations were amplified - kept me awake until 4am first night.. very small bathroom - anyone over size 16 wouldn't be able to cope.. but wonderful location, little jewel of a hotel, very friendly staff.. would go back again...
A very nice and friendly little hotel with a bit of character. The rooms are a little on the small side and have no coffee or tea facilities but they're neat and clean and the location is great. The service desk appeared to be manned 24hrs and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast wasn't included in our rate but the breakfasts were better than your usual continental breakfast.
This pleasent hotel has a great location and an extremely helpful staff. This is the best budget hotel I have stayed at in Paris and I will definitely return!
We found this hotel to be fanstastic. However, If I booked again, I would ask for a room at the back as the rooms in the front were a tad noisy. The hotel was very clean and the staff to be very helpful. Great area to stay in.
OK Tourist Hotel in a great location. Clean but a bit noisy. Staff were polite but after a long and uncomfortable flight there was no effort made to get us into our room any earlier than the 2.00 check in. Big Hills in the area make lugging heavy luggage around pretty harrowing. Would stay there again but only if the price remains cheap.
In a city where accomodation is very expensive, this hotel was a real bargain. It was clean & tidy & the paintings dotted about the place give it a lovely feel. The staff were very helpful & multilingual. The only issue we had was on our last morning, when the lift broke down - it was a bit of an effort to get our luggage down 4 floors. But our room was delightful & the location fabulous.
pricing specially very good yhanks to Rates to go Stay very very good because of location in Montmartre close to very pleasant, young and good little restaurants
The hotel is within easy walking distance from the Sacre Coeur on Montmartre. There is a cinema (showing films in original version) just across the street and many shops close by. The breakfast is good and the room itself was spacious. But the bathroom is terribly designed - there is no space to move, especially if you're a bit taller than most. This is the only drawback however, and I would stay there again.
Hotel was clean, but room smelled of cigarettes. Staff friendly enough. Hotel is basic - no tea /coffee making facilities in room. No wall bracket for shower head or shower curtain. But if all your after is a base to sleep, that provides a reasonable breakfast. Hotel Des Arts is great. Our problem was getting there when the France.com Parishuttle service said they hadn't received our booking and were unwilling to help us out. Take the RER metro into Paris - cheaper AND easier.
Unable to rate Des Arts Hotel Paris it as we were offered a new room in hotel "Casino" due to an emergency. Otherwise OK but I suppose the hotel should have offered to pay a taxi for us.
Nice location with special shops and restaurants in good price bracket. Montmartre atmosphere is great.
The hotel is located in a very picturesque area, in the heart of Montmartre. The street is in fact one of the passages of Paris, leading up to the famous windmills, and the square of Montmartre where the artists are painting portraits. Of course this is also the location of the stunning Sacre Coeur. The area is lively, with a large number of fruit, and vegetable markeds, restaurants, cheese stores, butcher shops and pastry stores. Alltogether a stroll down the streeet will surely make your mouth water!
Great location in Montmartre, close to but not on the main street. Spotlessly clean and pleasantly quiet.
As there is so many des arts hotels in Paris this hotel was difficult to find. However, although there was a language barrier the staff tried there best to provide quality service. The view was not as good as you would expect. But a nice, clean hotel.
