The Etrangers Hotel et Miramare, raise up on five up on floors above the ground and is develop toward “Piazza Duomo” with irregular plan, as regards of the ancient scheme of medieval city.
Ashlars are relief between the lines that pass through it horizontally, the balconies are refinement by balustrade in little stone pillar and in wrought iron, the main door is spacious and imposing, that divides the plant construction in the centre on the low floor, with four windows on one side, and four on the others.
The style and the scheme reminds since the first ‘900 civic glory, with a neoclassic tasteful tipically Sicilian.Into the Hotel, the floors have precious marbles, the walls and the ceilings are enrichement with “stucco work” and gilt frame decoration ,Giove , Medusa, Gelone and Aretusa faces, welcome guests that come illuminate from an ancient bronze pendant lamp of the first ‘900.
Bedrooms are almost all open on the Porto Grande sea. On top floor, there is a restaurant that offer an high and suggestive panoramic view: up Ortigia’s roofs, up the quite and shiny sea, in front of bell towers, face to face with the sunset. On the ground floor, an ample congress hall reception with sea-view.
