Des Mines Hotel Paris

Rooms are small but that's standard for Paris. Very nice, spotlessly clean bathroom. Excellent breakfast for 9 euros.

Good location, clean and excellent value for money all round. Hotel staff were very helpful. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Staying in Des Mines Hotel was a very good experience, as a budget hotel it is ideal, there are no frills and the rooms are small (as expected in Paris)but everything was clean, reception friendly and the location very good. I would stay here again if saving money.

Room was very small but clean and adequate. Had no tea or coffee making equipment which we expected as the norm. They serve b'fast with no dinner or snacks but only a 5-10 min walk from cafes and restaurants. Very close to train line which connects to all metro links. 10 min walk from Notre Dame. Would recommend if using as a base to tour.

This is an extremely well maintained hotel. The rooms are comfortable and the bathroom and toilets are also neat. It is also located very close to 2 Metros (Luxembourg & Port Royal) making it accessible easily. The location is also good, Notre Dam, St Chappel, Pantheon etc are in walkinjg distance. The hotel staff are also very friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel on a top location (stone throw away from Jardin du Luxembourg). Rooms are quite tiny so better go with a good friend or partner :-) Shower especially is really small. Bathroom could do with a makeover but if you are away all day and only use the hotel to sleep and take a shower it is perfect. Hotel staff is quiet but very friendly as well.

Location was excellent. Very close to the Latin Quarter, Notre Dame Cathedral, Saint Germain, very accesible by the Metro system. Would definately stay there again.

Great location for the price. Very friendly staff who speak English well which was a plus. The beds were very comfortable, would definatley recommend for anyone looking for decent accomodation close to the attractions.

While you might expect the room to be small given the low rates, I found the room to be large enough for two people. The hotel had a lovely breakfast, internet access, a phone in each room, competent maids, and always a knowledgeable person at the front desk. I would stay at this hotel again because of the extremely low rates--all of the other hotels charged significantly more. The only drawback was the location--it is about a 12 block hike from the Seine--but overall not a bad location.

The hotel is great if you are just looking for somewhere to sleep at night. If you are planning to spend any time in the room I would not recommend it since the rooms are very small. The location was good since it was walking distance from Notre Dame and very close to Jardin de Luxembourg which is a beautiful park.

A healthy walk from the Siene, but well worth the price. Facilities are clean, staff friendly and rooms are sweet. I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends, especially if traveling on a budget.
