Diana Plaza Hotel Brisbane

We stayed for 1 night at the Diana. We arrived early (11am) and the hotel staff called housekeeping and found us a room straight away which was very kind of them. The room was nice, but pretty standard, the bed was a nice big King bed and the TV was plasma with standard channels. There was also a mini bar. The hotel had a free car park which was another nice touch. It's close proximity to SouthBank was handy as it only took 15-20 mins to walk to the Brisbane Wheel. We walked the city by foot without any difficulty. There are a few shops and restaurants (mostly oriental style) next to to the hotel, so you dont have to walk far if you want to stay close. My only complaint about the rooms was their thin walls. I was woken up by drunken guests returning at 1am in the room next to me, but i got my own back in the morning by leaving my alarm clock on really loud when I left at 4.30am :-) I would stay here again as it only cost $100 a night.

Good place to stay, they need to check the beds more often for wear, as on one of the beds in the room I could feel the bed springs in my back.

Parking for the hotel was difficult at first because the car park was full, the alternative parking was an underground parking which Diana validated the parking for their clients and there is a lift that goes from the underground car park to your floor. In my opinion the alternative parking was better than the original.

Staff were great. My booking was for a double but they only had a twin so they gave us free breakfasts. Good location. Free parking

Excellent value for money. Room service dinner - excellent value and arrived hot and ontime. I preordered as I went to the spa for a massage (highly recommend you take advantage of this - ask for Eugene - he is brilliant) and meal arrived exactly when I had requested it. I have stayed here before and will do again. As a women travelling alone I felt very safe in this hotel. Good on you Diana Plaza, you are definately up there with the best of the - thankyou.

Walking distance to Southbank and City. Not the best breakfast buffet but ok.

My only gripe is that if an apartment is advertised as having a fully functional kitchen,that should include the necessary implements to prepare a meal. Apart from that the room,staff and accessibility to the city were all excellent.

Always a pleasure to stay here. A walk to Southbank or a long walk into the city. The Korean bathhouse with deep hot bath works magic on your sore back. They have a new chef but didn't get to try him yet. Breakfast buffet last time was a disappointment - not enough variety - and so I don't know if it has improved with the new chef yet.

Has free parking and is a 10 minute walk to Southbank. Nice quiet boutique-type hotel. Bed was firm comfortable. A good getaway.

Excellent hotel and good value. Beds were EXTREMELY comfortable, staff very helpful. The hot food for breakfast at the buffet was average and re-stocking of food that ran out very slow but plenty of other options re cereal, fruit and toast - this would not be a deal-breaker for me and I would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend the hotel.

Nice hotel in a good location. Shops, food and pubs all very close by. Good service generally although breakfast staff were below par.

The Apolo Spa is a great relax and free to guests. They have seperate womens and mens baths, sauna and pools.

VERY ENJOYABLE STAY - GREAT LOCATION

Complimentary gym, bath house and carpark was good. Breakfast was also good. Accomodation is little outdated but it was clean and staff were helpful. The location of the hotel is only bus ride away to the city. I would recommend to stay here again.

As I had a meeting at the Mater Hospital the location was conveniently just across the road. The Southbank railway station, accessed direct from the airport was only 10 minutes walking distance.

Nice walk to Southbank and has a convenince store next door for late night snacks. Rooms were quiet and bed was above average for a hotel, which means hard but still able to sleep.
