I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a middle end hotel (not a hostel) in a perfect location. We arrived in winter and were able to walk to almost everything we wanted to see. Dam Square is one minute away, Red Light District 5 minutes, Anne Frank Haus and Prinsengracht 10 minute walk. the food is good and the staff was friendly! I'd stay here if I ever come back to Ammie!
easy walking distance and public transport access for anything one would want to see in this historic city. we did not get a chance to sample the menu but the prices seemed comparable to local restaurants. beds were very comfy! if one is on the roadside of the hotel, however, the noise ends at about midnight and begins at about 6:30 am.
Charming hotel right behind the Royal Palace and the Niewe Kirche. Within 10 minutes walk from the Central Station, canals, and the red light district. Die Blaue Parade is a charming 19th century bar. The steaks are outstanding, and you should definitely try the Port van Cleve garnish with it.
Good location. Air conditioning not working. Breakfast promised orally at 14 euro at check in, yet priced at 28 at check out.
The second time I stayed at this hotel. Considering the excellent location combined to friendly staff, I will most probably stay at Die Port Van Cleve Hotel also during my next visit to Amsterdam. A couple of comments: the air conditioning was under way but not yet available in my room. The breakfast was nice and worth the price "offer" 14 euros per person per day - normal price would have been 19 €.
A nice clean, cosy room. quiet room to retreat to during 5 days of cold Amsterdam rain. No comp[laints at all.
We had a really lovely time at this hotel. Very central to everything, including the train station. I would definately recommend this hotel.
The location of the Hotel was great, close to everything. The room we had was large and very clean. We enjoyed our time in Amsterdam.
the hotel was very clean.staff very friendly price was cheap and the location was excellent. cant wait to go bak again loved it
Enjoyed our night there, staff most friendly and helpful, pleasing to have free internet in he room, would certainly stay there again
Considered to be 4 star hotel...I think not. No Air Con, Rooms far to small. Staff were very friendly and helpful though. restaurant was a rip off.
the hotel was extremely nice, but there were a couple of things which let it down, such as if you want a smoking room you may be given a room in a building next door which is connected to the main hotel. This was annoying because of a couple of reasons, 1. you had to go down a very steep pair of spiral stairs (not good while wasted and in the rain as the roofs open) 2. the room was boiling hot, had no air con just a fan so had to keep the windows open which led onto a side street which was constantly loud. and 3. the shower kept goin hot then cold. The customer service and cleaning staff we can not fault they kept the room clean and people were extremely polite and helpful. over out of 10 id give this hotel a 7.
Excellent service and great location
Right in the heart of Amsterdam, friendly staff and a good clean room. We got a dungeon style room at the bottom of a spiral staircase which was a challange for our big rucksacks but it seemed to be the only one. All in all a pleasent stay in a crazy place :)
Very good location altough the hotel 4 star rating das not reflect the quality provided..I made my booking well in advance and i also request smoking room with two separed beds as i was travel with another guy.A week before my arrival i call into hotel to make sure my bookings is ok and i will get smoking room with two separed beds as i request.I was assured that everything is ok.Then, when i arrived, check in and ask again if our room have two separed beds and is smoking the receptionist told me,that they have no smoking room at all and the room ready for us is with double bed.So i argue with them about it but they have no intension to solve it so i have to call a duty manager which after 20 min of arguments apologies and give us room which we booked. That room was not ready for us immediatly but we have to wait nearly two hours.Room was not clean as you will expect from four star hotel. The only positivum about it is the location. In future,i dont think that i will stay again.
Generally a good hotel
Location of the hotel was perfect. Room was very small but for the price we paid we were not expecting too much. Room and bathroom were clean so couldnt complain.
Nice hotel in the heart of Amsterdam. Friendly service and a great bar.
just returned from a 8 night stay at the hotel just want to say that the hotel staff was exellent with us HOTEL WAS NOT A 4STAR but the price was the best deal i found
would definitely stay again the next trip
