Stayed the first time after 12 years in Kartika and was pretty happy what I found. Still the same, good location, friendly staff, nice rooms. The only negative, if there is one and everyone wants to know it, is, the a/c. Unfortunately not powerful enough. Was running all day long to have a nice temperature inside. My friend who stayed for the first time in Bali was impressed. You might find newer hotels but the location in Tuban is still the best. Why go to Kuta, Legian, Seminyak etc etc? The only thing there is that you need more time from and to the airport and the places are more crowded. We will definitely go back to this lovely place.
it is a 5 stars hotel that has a 5 stars service but a 4 stars rooms. for the same price I can get better and bigger rooms in other hotels in the same area. nevertheless it's a great hotel but expensive!

The Kartika Plaza was absolutely superb!!! The staff were very very friendly and accomadating and made our holiday one to remember. The facilities at the hotel was sensational and would highly recommend to other people. We will stay there again
Great hotel. Excellent service given from all employees we encountered. Great facilities, loved the pool bar, pond cafe and tepan. Didn't get the opportunity to eat at the italian restaurant but food looked lovely. Room was nice. Would definately recommend. More of a hotel for families and older people, as we are young we didn't mind that cause it was nice and quiet. Great location!
very beautiful hotel. I took advantage of the fitness center and had a wonderful 1 1/2 hour massage for only $25! Great bargain.

My friend and I stayed for one week at the Kartika Plaza and really enjoyed the pleasant staff, the lovely gardens the great room close to the pool and the breakfast was the best in Bali. It is deadly being so close to the Discovery Shopping Centre!!!!!!. We'll be back.
One of the last hotels with a view of the beachfront. Great breakfast and restaurant meals, and attentive staff. Good for long and short stays, but no refund if you shorten your stay. Would highly recommend for couples and older travellers.

Pro's: Staff were very friendly, English was spoken by everyone, rooms clean and facilities in good condition. Con's: Drinks very pricey, limited frontline desk staff at check out hour.
Nice hotel, good facilities, excellent service, good breakfasts. If you like the hussle and bussle of Tuban/Kuta, the location will suit you.
Me and my new husband stayed here on our honeymoon in january 2008 . Everything about this hotel is amazing. The service was unbeatable and the staff could not do enough for you (especially susilla-the trainee). Would definatley recommend this hotel to any one and will definatley be returning again one day .
Had mix up with our reservation, they expected us to check out 3 days early. Not very helpful in trying to fix. Room cleaning not done on regular intervals, had to request clean towels. Bathroom fixtures need repairing, shower poor, always water over floor. Definately not 4 1/2 star.
