Staff are sweet helpful always ready to help. The room was a bit tacky. Basically we will be coming back again to the same hotel in the next 2 years. Just loved it. ( was missing electric blanket )
Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Dining room staff very efficient and friendly and the food was delicious with a large choice of meals for dinner. Free Wireless internet was an added bonus.

Really nice accommodation, friendly staff and great restaurant and bar. Great location on lake and close to centre of town. Would recommend staying here.

The "villas" are behind the hotel and have no view of the lake. The villa exteriors are drab and in need of a good clean, but the interiors are in good shape. Overall a reasonable choice.
The rooms are a little old but clean & pleasant; no old carpet smell or stale smoke smells :p The lake view room has a lovely view of the lake, but you see the path way and main road before the lake comes into view. Hence not much privacy with the curtains drawn.
This was our favourite stay in New Zealand. Our villa was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. Very quiet and close to restaurants etc. We were extremely happy with our stay.

Great villa set in the hotel's grounds. We'd certainly recommend this hotel over a 'normal' hotel. Location is on the fore-shore and is only a few minutes stroll from the restaurants - why would you stay anywhere else?

From the description on the website (combined with the address) we had the impression we would have a lake view, so were a little disappointed to find the villas were quite isolated from the hotel; a short drive around the back of the entire complex. The location is quite central however with the beautiful lake straight across the road. The villas are charming, roomy and very comfortable. The gardens were tidy but the empty concrete boxes against the villas detracted. Receptionist was the only staff member we spoke with and she was lovely. You must visit the Pie Shop in Te Anau. Absolutely the best pies anywhere!!
An older hotel that has been renewed. It had a really nice feel about it and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Nice bar too.

Overall this was a great place to stay was disappointing though that the Spa facilities was out of order
Villa was a great size with flat screen tvs in bedroom and lounge. Awesome choice for breakfast. Friendly service.
