The Hotel Doge, is a pretty XVII century building, situated in the artistique and historical centre of Venice. The Hotel is located several minutes from the train station near the Grand Canal and not far away from the Rialto bridge. Situated in a quiet area, the hotel offer old-fashioned hospitality and the convenience of a modern hotel. Despite the hotel being small it offers a large welcome to make your stay in our wonderful city even more pleasing. All our rooms are very nice. With one or two windows seeing on the inner garden or on the road. The ceilings with girders in wood, The walls painted with a precious colour yellow ochre. Furniture in wood with a great mirror and the refrigerator inside.

Getting there:Arriving by plane: International Airport Marco Polo: the international airport Marco Polo is situated in Tessera, 8 Km by bus. Service of pubblic bus ACTV or ATVO for Piazzale Roma (Venice), it will take about 20 minutes. When you arrive at Piazzale Roma (Venice): you can take the ACTV''S lines n.1 to reach the Hotel. Get off at Riva di Biasio. Or walk till the big bridge in front the railway station, turn right in street and follow the indication.
Check-in Procedure:If you will arrive early you can leave your luggage on the reception desk.
Car parking:Car parkings is in Piazzale Roma Place, five minutes walkings from the hotel. (reductions 20% at the "SAN MARCO" Parking)

Paying alot for a very small room, but oh my god what a location! Staff were fantastic too.

A perfect location and rooms for our family of five. Only a short walk from the train station, so it's easy to find for first-time visitors to Venezia.
Hotel location is unbeatable. However very small rooms. However very friendly atmosphere. Like a family or home stay. Rather costly - but, it is Venice!

I stayed at new part of the hotel - good, big and clean room. Other rooms might be quite small (?). Only shortage: no mosquito net in the windows, disturbing mosquitos in night. Services not bad, but no possibility to keep your luggage on the day of departure after check-out.
The hotel was conviently located 10 mins on foot from Piazzale Roma, 5 min from the train station. The room (single) is spacious and clean but being on the ground floor it was darkish and required lights on during the daytime. The street was noisy in the morning as it seems to be located on a popular route so I could hear people passing and talking from the early morning and my room was next to the storage room with partition wall not reaching the ceiling and I was woken up by the noise made by delivery people at 6.15 a.m. or hotel staff needing access to the storage room from early hours. Overall the hotel was good and the staff were friendly.
the staff at the Doge hotel were very friendly and helpful. They allowed me to store my luggage for several hours after i checked outwhich was very useful. Its easy to find if you don't know venice very well, tho if your bag is very heavy then it is easier to get a vaporetto to 'riva di biasio' as there are no bridges to cross. I'd stay there again happily
The hotle is located near the train station, but along a very curvacious route. The locals however are friendly and happily guided us to our destination. Check travel reservations at the train station for general directions to the hotel, other wise you may wander the narrow alley ways for quite a while.
Had difficulty in locating the hotel. The old man who helped with the check in was very helpful.

Great little hotel not far from St Lucia train station. Typical smallish Venetian rooms for tourist standard hotel but proprietors extremely obliging and served always with a smile.
The hotel is small and situated in a typical Venetian alley-type street. The staff were obliging, charming and generally made me feel very welcome.

Excellent map to get there from the train station- and close too. The attendant was waiting for us and spoke excellent English, and gave us a card to call him if we got lost during our day's travels. There isn't a breakfast room but coffee and croissants were brought to the room as soon as we phoned for breakfast. Our coffee was a little cool but our friends ordered theirs earlier and it was nice and hot.
The location was good with easy access to main sites and public transport. The room was clean, tidy with pleasant hotel staff although the amenities were a little basic. this however did not detract from the enjoyable stay.
