Domus Mariae Palazzo Carpegna Hotel Rome

Grand Palazzo Carpegna is overall a very good hotel. The only problem, and very important one, is that there is no free internet access in the room. You have to pay 5 euros for one hour, or 15 euros for 1 day!!! This is totally unacceptable in our age as well as for the price of the room!

I have stayed here previously and found the hotel to be very clean, however on this occassion our hotel room was shabby. We needed an iron but were told that the hotel did not have an iron nor did they have a laundry service, which was unbelieveable. We were very disappointed with our stay this time.

Very pleasant stay. Idally located with easy access into the City via the underground. Food good and handy for the airport.

excellent value for money, good location, friendly and very helpful staff who spoke excellent english which makes all the difference i will recommend hotel palazza carpegna to any one going to rome.

The hotel is located quite far from the city center, but can easily be reached by subway. It's a beautiful building, with a magnificent driveway up to the hotel.

The apperance of this hotel from the outside was fantastic. The room was another story it was very tiny. Because it has so many tour buses it was always busy the breakfast hall was always full. However the location wasn't too bad if you were driving.

the grand palazzo is a comfortable hotel, situated fairly close to Cornelia Metro station. The breakfast was basic, the room was clean but a little on the small side and the staff on reception were pleasant. We stayed for two nights and was enjoyable although we just had b&b. There is not much around the hotel i.e good shops etc but it is only three stops on the metro to the vatican etc so you are not far away from the centre. We found using the metro was the easiest way to get around as the taxi drivers charge what they want!!

We got a piny corner room without window and the women working in the reception vas completaly uniterested in giving service. Don't expect the chanse to iron a shirt. But the room was new and clean.

This hotel was fantastic and so were the surroundings.

Nice looking hotel with excellent facilities, and well connected by train to city and attractions. Rooms are very noisy and sound from adjacent rooms can be heard through walls and ceiling. Whilst staff are obliging, they are not overly friendly and do not go out of their way to inform you of any messages or changes to tour bookings which they have been informed of.

This was a beautiful hotel w/ spacious rooms. Room noise was very bad. The hall corridors echoed terribly, so you could hear people walking down the hallway from far away. The doors to each room, "slam" when closed, so we listened to slamming doors all night long.

A really nice and comfortable Hotel. The gardens and surroundings were lovely.

The Room was a bit disappointing as it was January when we travelled there and it was very draughty and quite cold

had a wonderful time, staff were very helpful especially considering we spoke no Italian at all, location was fantastic and the hotel was a magnificent display of restored architecture!!!!

Very luxurious hotel. long private entrance, Marble everywhere. Large spacious room with large windows. Flat screen tv etc., Short walk to undergound station (maybe 7 mins)

Looked very nice from outside but rooms were a little depressing but spacious. Staff were helpful enough. Not the best location (around 6-10Euro to c. centre) but price was pretty good.

Very nice hotel a few km. outside the city of rome. Very easy to take the metro or the bus to the city.
