Getting there:By train The Roma Termini railway station is only a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Exit the station on the side via Giolitti. Follow via Giolitti towards piazza di Porta Maggiore (in the opposite direction of piazza dei Cinquecento), and continue straight until the crossroad, on the right, with via di Porta Maggiore/i>. Otherwise take the underground line A (direction Anagnina), get off at the second stop (Manzoni) and walk down viale Manzoni for 200 metres to the property. By airplane The Fiumicino airport is well connected to the city's centre by highway and by an express train leaving every 30 minutes for the Roma Termini railway station. Upon leaving the airport, take the highway until the Grande Raccordo Anulare ring-road and then follow the above-said indications; otherwise you can take the train to Termini and then follow the above-said directions on how to reach the hotel from the station.

Had an enjoyable stay. Room was clean and comfy with good airconditioning. Easy access to highway...used a GPS. Safe parking in a garage. Close walking to main train station (15-25 minutes depending on your pace) Same for hop on hop off busses.
Easy to locate off the highway. The receptionist could have been a little more welcoming and people friendly. We thought it may change as we were trying very hard to be very kind...it didn't. :-( A/C worked great. Room was very clean. Close to a bus/train stop, however the stop was quite busy so we opted to walk to the nearest hop on hop off stop which was about 15 minutes.
staff at reception were really helpfull, providing info about the city and how to see its attractions.
An "Okay" hotel, very very thin walls, hardly any daylight, and unfortunately unfriendly staff at reception. We didn't feel welcome... but well, we had a place to stay,which was the main thing.

I found this hotel rather more professional and welcoming than other hotels I've stayed in in Rome. We were given a double room with an adjoining room with a baby cot for our daughter for a reasonable price (for Rome!). The rooms and bathroom had a good standard of decor. About 30 mins walk to Termini station - not as close as I expected.
Major refurbishment going on at the moment but pleasant hotel, friendly staff and a good location at a good price.
Very nice hotel, good location. Watch the taxi drivers however, the hotel is quite close to Termini, but not by the way our taxi driver took us !

We had a quick stay in Rome. The people at the Hotel were very nice, but it was a little out of the way and not as close to the train station as we had imagined. The breakfast was very disappointing for the price you pay. Otherwise it was clean and the service was good.
Desk clerk gave helpful advice on getting around. Hotel is only a short walk from train station.
Our second visit to the this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful staff and we love it - we will always stay there even if the walk into main Rome is quite lengthy.
Staff were extremely friendly and always available. Slight noise problem from the front rooms but soon got used to that. Very clean hotel, location doesnt look pretty but we walked around at night and felt safe enough. For the prioce was perfect. Lovely continental breakfast served.
Good situation near Termimi station. bit of a walk - better to take 105 bus to Porta Maggiore. Well received by staff. Room fairly spacious and comfortable. Breakfast continental but adequate. Would recommed this hotel.

We were very pleased to stay intheo Hotel. Room was comfortable and tastefully furnished. Atmosphere was friendly and breakfast was tasty with plenty of fresh coffee. Staff was very helpful with all the information we needed, especially that it was our first visit to Rome. I shall definitely recommend Donatello Hotel to my friends and hopefully visit this beautiful city in the summer!
The staff were very helpful & courteous, in fact they could not have been better! Breakfast was served with a smile & there was plenty of extra coffee available on request.
