Doulos Hotel Seoul

Hotel is in the centre of Seoul which is good but being in a back lane is very hard to find.The standard double room is small & the bed hard but its very clean & with a good bathroom it is fair value.There is no restaurant/cafe so breakfast is served in a conference room & is only OK.

Love this hotel and highly recommend it.

Excellent hotel for business trips when you just come to sleep. Free PC is available on the second floor. The room was very small but cleen. Will definately stay in next time.

Good hotel with convenient location to subway station and airport shuttle bus. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would stay here again.

Best for its location. 20 min walk to Dongdaemun, 15 min walk to Myong Dong or Nandaemun. 5 min walk to the nearest Subway (Jong-Sam Ga), which will take only 2 or 3 stops to get to all the shopping areas listed above. However, it is hidden in the back alley which can get quite dark in the night. In addition, not many taxi drivers will know of this hotel as it is a relatively new hotel. Service staff speaks minimal English, but sufficient to get by. All in all a good and cheap hotel!

Spent 6 nights at the Doulos hotel, my first time in Seoul. Maps were very helpful in finding the hotel, it is located through some alleys but is less than 1 minute walk to the subway station. Staff were very helpful and friendly, with most of them having a strong command of English. A very convenient location, one block over is a bunch of shops, bars, night markets and restaurants. Rooms are small, but they are modern and maintained well. Free internet which is a nice bonus. The breakfast included is served in the theatre room which is a little weird, but they do have a decent spread including: toast, cereal, fruit, salad, pastries, juices, sausages, boiled eggs, tea and coffee. Only negative is that it's only from 7am - 9am. There's always a staff member at reception 24 hours a day, Phoebe in particular was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay with them again.

Strongly recommended. Having arrived after dark we were initially concerned with the location, as we took the direct route through dark, narrow alleys. Within a few days, however, we found it to be much less scary than our first impression – especially in the daytime. Typical of the tourist experience of South Korea, we never felt at risk on the streets (or alleys) of Seoul. We knew in advance that the rooms were small, yet it was still a bit of a shock. We would still recommend the Doulos as the location, cleanliness, coin-operated laundry, and service make the inconvenience acceptable. The included continental breakfast was a bit better than expected, however, it did lack somewhat in terms of variety. This is not too surprising, as there didn't seem to be room for a comprehensive kitchen. A final word about the staff: we found them to be very polite, respectful, and helpful. Some were less practiced in English, but they always managed to satisfy our requests.

Excellent hotel. Located a 5-minute walk in behind a main road in Seoul from a metro line, though it is a little difficult to find initially. Rooms are comfortable and look new. No wardrobe, but good amenities and great beds. Staff are very helpful. Water filters and drink vending machines are available on the 2nd floor, and the breakfast provided is adequate before a big day's sightseeing or business. Excellent location in downtown Seoul, about 10-minutes walk from Jongmyo Temple and palaces. Good restaurants and a horde street food vendors are also close at hand.

A basic and simple hotel, but very friendly, clean and everything worked. Very good central location, although the immediate surroundings are not so impressive! Happy to recommend.

This is a very new hotel with a very central location. Although the room is very small and does not have any wardrobe, the room is very clean and comfortable for a good night's rest. There is free internet services in the rooms and complimentary simple breakfast is provided for the guests, which is excellent. The hotel staff speaks english and are very professional in their services. The rates are a bit steep but still reasonable for what you get!

A very clean hotel in a superb location at a reasonable price - highly recommended!

This hotel is hard to find but it is worth the hunt. The rooms are not small. The bath is large, clean and new. The free morning buffet is small but completely adequate, fresh and tasty. One of the most interesting streets in Korea is a 10 minute walk. If you are tired of kim-chee, there is a great Outback 5 blocks away. Don't go there for the view. One of the best deals in Asia.

A very decent place to stay and to travel to/from whilst exploring Seoul. Rooms may be small but are perfect if this isn't an issue. Highly recommended

They completely misunderstood what does the "deposit" mean and didn't deduct what we paid to [your website]. However lowered the rate so all-in-all it was even cheaper!!! Hotel new and clean, but very small rooms -still highly recomendable for the price.

The hotel is good, clean and comfortable, very hard to find the hotel for the first time. The location is near to the hardware retails shops, dancing cloths shop and restaurant. I take about 5 -10 minutes walk to Myeong-dong and Insadong.

Rooms are rather small. Music followd by projection during brackfast is very nice solution.

I booked via last minute deals and the price represented good value for Seoul. Very clean, small but adequate and comfortable room. Included breakfast for 2 of us, not a huge choice of food but adequate. Good central location close to the subway. I will stay there again.
