Downtown Apartments Barcelona

This was excellent value for money. Situated in one of the best locations in Barcelona (just off Born), the room was a good size, good kitchen facilities, clean and received ample fresh towels and cleaning for a 2 week stay. Close to internet cafe and small grocery shops for daily needs. I would recommend it.

Loved the area. The apartment was perfect for us being self sufficient with clean modern decor and a double bed not made of single beds! Lovely accommodation host too.

Office had changed location and this not reflected on any documentation. Difficult to get hold of office on phone so ended up spending all morning trying to drop off bags and arrange check in. also as a general point didn't realise deposit would be required for appartment.

Good location and great to have some kitchen facilties. Be prepared to wait a while to be let in as we waited over an hour then had to wait to a further 3 hours for the apartment to be cleaned!

My girlfriend and I stayed in the 28 sq meter with big terrace. The flat was spacious and bed was very nice, so was the bathroom. All the equipments for cooking needed to be improved. If you stay for a long time >3-4 days, amount of towels was insufficient. A/C worked ok but a little loud. Location is brilliant on carrer del sombreres but it is a little loud till late in the nite. But it did not keep us out of sleep. It is the true Barcelona !! Information was missing concerning garbages or new towels/linen or Parking or independent cleaning (do you have to wash your dishes after using the kitchen ??) and there was no adequate mops/hoover and cleaning products for a long stay. By the way, the appartment was on a second floor and the stairway is really tiny, not adequate for family with prams...Apart from those details, it was a brilliant vacation, ideal place for visiting barcelona at a low price.

The studio apartment's a good size with good cooking facilities, and well equipped - just don't expect too much from the bathroom. There's no reception, so you have to phone the office when you get to the airport to arrange to pick up keys - even still we had to stand outside for about 30mins waiting on the guy turning up! All together, the apartments got a fair few faults - but we'd stay there again - locations good - area's got plenty of cafe's, restaurants and bars. 10min walk to Las Ramblas.

It was nice, we enjoyed it. Just had some problems with fuse and because of it couldnt use kettle, the rest was ok.

great place: tiny but clean and funky. with view on the santa maria del mar church: the nicest gothic church in barcelona! really cool neighbourhood full of bars and restaurants on pedestrian streets. very good security doors. I would definitely rent it again.

Stayed in the studio with big terrace, it was very small and compact, not much room once the sofa bed was pulled out, but was worth it for the location. Very close to everything, 5mins to Gothic Quater, 10mins to La Rambla and right beside the Santa Maria del Mar Church in el Born. Very clean and terrace would be a big plus in the summer, good shower and clean bathroom.

When we arrived at the apartments (which were in a lovely location) we learned that we were actually being moved to a differenct set of apartments - so I therefore can not rate the Downtoan Apartments themselves. The staff however were friendly and helpful and the replacement apartments of a good standard.

The apartment was very clean and spacious but the kitchen facilities were poor. It was ok for a night or two but if you were staying a week it would be difficult to cook a meal which we like doing and savouring the local produce from the markets. The staff we met were very friendly and helpful in every way.

Great location, right in the heart of it all in a safe neighbourhood and just a 10 min walk to Las Ramblas. Staying there makes you feel like a local with many funky restaurants, bars etc nearby. Overalll I would recommend this to everyone!

As someone else said, it is smelly on the stairs. Otherwise, the apartment is basic, has very basic furniture and the main thing going for it is its location in the heart of the gothic quarter.

Very central location, near St Maria del Mar, in the old Latin Quarter. Rambla is close, shopping is around, seashore is close. No wifi, just internet via cable, You should order before.

Absolutely perfect for what we wanted. Will DEFINITELY stay here again, and recommend to others.

The Downtown Apartments are aparently in 3 blocks. Those shown on the website were not representative of the ones we were offered and smaller than the 40 sq m quoted. They were in need of modernisation and decoration. My complaint to the company was given the response that the apartments shown on the website were full. There was alot of noise from people passing outside about 3 am on both Friday and Saturday, although Sunday night was very quiet. The Gothic area was very atmospheric and the general location of the apartments was very good.
