Ducale Hotel Venice

We enjoyed our stay at Ducale. Helpful desk, clean and large room and an easy location.

This hotel was a little on the small side but it's good for the location. The staff was friendly, and they spoke English well. It is a good hotel. The breakfast selection is good. Their pickup service is good. Overall, the hotel is well run. It is a solid 3 star hotel.

The hotel is clean friendly and conveniently places for access to Venice. The rooms were pleasantly furnished and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. The bus service into Venice was frequent, convenient and inexpensive. There is a regular service from the airport too which makes even that transport cost reasonable - be careful not to miss the stop for the hotel if you use the regular service airport buss. I would certainly stay there again.

We were really satisfied: nice, small hotel, very friendly personal, always at your disposition. It is located in a quiet place, almost in front of the bus station (the bus is circulating every 10 minutes, direction Venice-the-city).

Located in the Mestre might cause some problems for Venice visitors, but otherwise good value for money.

The room allocated to us was the smallest of all the rooms we used on our 5 week trip around Italy. Fortunately it was only for one night. Plumbing from adjacent rooms is quite audible. The hotel is on the corner of two busy suburban streets. The airport shuttle is not available on Sundays and there is a charge for it unless the booking is made through the Ducale Hotel website. Bus 15 to and from the airport is handy but can be awkward with luggage. On the positive side the breakfast was one of the best.

The staff very were friendly and receptionists very helpful. Clean hotel. Although around 30mins away by bus to Venice, bus terminus is very close and buses are very frequent and reliable. A hotel I recommend.

Our flight landed at 8.30pm and although this hotel can be reached by bus from Marco Polo airport, we were unable to buy a bus ticket as the information desk closed at 8pm in the airport and the ticket machine outside was not working! The only option was by taxi at a cost of 26 euros. If our flight had been earlier the bus would only have cost around 1.10 euros each. However, the hotel was fine and provided a very good buffet breakfast and is in a good location for a late arrival rather than trying to find a hotel within Venice in the dark. It is very easy to get from Hotel Ducale by bus into Venice as the bus stop is only a few metres from the hotel and is quite frequent and inexpensive. We would certainly use this hotel again as an overnight stop en route to Venice.

the hotel is only good for those travelers taking an early morning flight from Venice Marco Polo Airport. It therefore a shame that the hotel's early morning shuttle service to the airport costs twice as much as the room... a short ride of only 3 km... for this reason I want stay there anymore.

The staff was very helpful. The location was excellent in terms of access to public transportation.

Very helpful receptionist and attentive breakfast staff. Breakfast adequate. Spotlessly clean hotel. Our room was facing the square which meant traffic noise but not unbearable, one overlooking the car park (incidentally very small) might have been more quiet. Bus 19 (30 seconds walk to the stop) runs every 30 minutes and takes 20 minutes to reach venice bus station. The hotel did not have a restaurant but, we highly recommend a take away pizza from "Lady pizza" around the corner from the hotel.

Nice room and breakfast. It is clean and comfortable. Only a little bit far away but still can easily take the bus near the hotel.

The hotel is situated in a very nice and pleasand neighbourhood, very convinient to get to Venice and airport Marco Polo. Very pleasant staff and facilities are very nice as well. Breakfast is very good! I would definately recommend this hotel!

Very convenient - No. 15 bus from Marco Polo airport - stops practically outside the door.

Nice hotel, good location. Near bus stop to Venice...

Hotel located much further away from the train than we expected - 30 mins on the bus to Mestre station although only about 3 kms. Room was adequate although very hot. It was on the 2nd floor and the entire hotel was without outside ventilation. When we asked about the sir con not working we were told that it was switched on in May (and we were there on a few hot days in late April).

This is a nice hotel very good stueted for all you need an Venice (incuding the airport).

Excellent Hotel spotlessly clean, lovely breakfast and exceedingly friendly and helpful staff. A little further from Venice than we had thought but excellent bus service though the later bus journey is a bit of an ordeal
