Reputed for the quality of its dining, the hotel boasts two restaurants and one bar to accomodate all budgets. The Duke has been extensively refurbished in 2003. |

From Auckland, 3hrs, take highway 1 north to Whangarei, continue north to Kawakawa, then direction Bay of Islands/Russell/Paihia. At Kawakawa junction, take direction Russell, then at Opua, turn right to car ferry. Russell is 10mn after ferry landing. Alternatively, choose scenic old Russell road, 20km after Whangarei on the right after BP station. |
