Dunas Mirador Maspalomas Hotel Gran Canaria Island

"I was B&B so cannot comment on food except breakfast: a bit of a scrum, all self-service, all drinks from dispensers, often with long queues, some fruit but no melon or papaya, German-style cold cuts of rather poor quality, only cooked items nasty sausages, greasy bacon, good scrambled or fried eggs. Glad I did not have their other meals. Huge hotel, mainly German guests, two big attractive pools, one heated. Clean and well maintained, though my room was not cleaned every day. Reception staff unsmiling but efficient. Good lounge with cheap internet access. Located well inland, in Sonnenland, rather isolated from main hotel clusters in Ingles, Maspalomas or Agustin. Quite noisy: pool-side bar in the evening on one side, traffic noise on the other. Rooms which overlook the street have south facing balcony, sun all day (if it is out) and distant sea view. Good supermarket, newsagent and pharmacy nearby." - Shelley Charik
