Dusit D2 Chiang Mai Hotel

Excellent, attentive service. Trendy decor for an old traditionalist, but okay.

I book this hotel actually is for my friends. She show me the picture and comment that the outer look of the hotel is actually like the picture. But internal is very clean and modern as well as the room. And the room services is very good also, as it made up the room 2 - 3 time a day. It's worth to stay. As Next trip if i go, I sure will try to stay there. Hope the hotel will always kept as it is before.

Interesting design, warm atmosphere. Price is on the high side for the area, however well worth it.

Additional charge for corporate lounge access not value for money. Overall, hotel is only average value. Rooms are rather small, and for a hotel in this price cathegory, too small.

this hotel is fantastic. the staff is truly first class and the food is out of this world. a true delight, i have stayed there several times and it is always a wonderfull experiance.

So much is so good about this hotel - great decor, a warm, attentive young staff, very comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast, perfect location - only one problem prevents more superlatives. D2 has no discotheque but recently started a monthly DJ Night in the lobby for the young, trendy Chiang Mai set. Sadly, the disco level noise penetrates all the lower floors. If you want to try and sleep early, forget it, as the throbbing music will drive you crazy! After complaining, I had that night's stay knocked off the bill. Was also told future guests will be advised on check-in of such evenings, and those not planning to stay out late will be located on higher floors. I do think it is disgraceful for any hotel to risk disturbing guests by holding such ear-splitting functions in a public space. However, I will return on my next visits because D2 is just classier and nicer than the others. As a precaution, though, I’ll check that my dates do not coincide with a "DJ Night".

D2 Hotel was very styilsh and nice. But the room was small for the price.

Standard rooms were on the smaller side, the glass wall bathroom with the venetian blinds on the outside of the bathroom proved embarrassing on a number of occasions (when the person sharing the room decided to open the blinds) but everything else was fantastic. The food was scrumptious, breakfast delicious, and it was obvious that a stylish eye was cast over all details of the hotel, from the bathroom products, right down to the salt and pepper shakers on the breakfast tables. The glasses of lemongrass and ginger coolwaters on arrival were the perfect escape from a poorly conditioned cab ride. I would definitely stay again. The pool staff were super friendly!
