Eaglereach Wilderness Resort Hunter Valley Guest Reviews

4.4 out of 5

The location and views were just beautiful, though it was pretty scary driving up the mountain at night. The Restaurant was excellent, great service. Wished we could be there longer to take advantage of all the activities they provide.

This is a fabulous resort and I would definitely consider staying here again. Very private and beautifully secluded lodges with great space and facilities. Resort facilities are excellent too. Perfect for a break where you want to 'get back to nature' and relax away from the hustle bustle of the city. Picture perfect views across the Hunter Valley and wallabies at your bedroom window every morning! The only slight negative is that the resort is located at the top of a 10 minute 'off road' track and about half an hour from the nearest town.

A magical place as its name suggests. The complete silence and darkness at night is something I will never forget. Friendly staff were a delight and the food (though not a great choice) was superb. I will be back as it was the best experience of Australia on our trip

This is a superb location, up in the hills of Hunter Valley. The layout is spacious, with plenty of room both within each chalet and between adjacent units. There are wilderness walks and plenty of wild life to appreciate. The general facilities are appropriate for the size and location. With each unit, there is an outdoor spa and (in ours at least) no less than three barbecues! If you like the idea of kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas and numerous brightly-coloured birds almost within arm's reach, this is the place for you. It is not cheap, but the place to treat yourself.

A very good, quiet retreat. You need to use your car to get around the resort as the lodges are well spread out for privacy. The restaurant is very good, although the menu can be a bit limited if you are staying for a week. All lodges have cooking facilities for a night in. Excellent walking trails for the able bodied, and golf carts for the less able. Individual SPAs are permanently hot at your lodge. Highly recommended.

It was a shock for us to find it so far away from anything and the road was dangerous and narrow. Most other guests felt the same way. Other than that it was relaxing and peaceful.

Perfect mountaintop setting with wonderful views & lots of privacy. Would recommend for a romantic weekend away or a group getaway. Not really for kids.

Stunning location, friendly staff, Treehops Restaurant is highly reccommended. Go on the organised (free) bushwalk and make some new friends or relax in a hot tub.

The Resort is locate 45-minutes away from the main attraction in Hunter Valley. This accommodation thus might not be the best option if you're planning to spend most of your time in hunter valley tasting wine. This resort however brings you a very special experience. Located in the wilderness, you can spend breakfast watching the wallabies and the birds, hunting for yabbies, mountain biking and trekking.

For the price I thought a few minor details had been overlooked. Having said that we've been there twice and I'd be happy to return maybe in Winter to get the full benefit of the fire place!

The Eaglereach Resort was a very positive surprise. On a mountaintop amid a beautifull natural surrounding. The service was very good, the staff was very friendly and the many facilities very inviting to use and enough to spend your holiday whatever you like to do. Don't forget the walking tracks!

Was a very beautiful location particularly for overseas visitors. The restaurant was very pricey but as the accomodation is self contained I would suggest guests take some of their own food. The facilities were great and appeal to bush lovers. I would rate the resort about 8 out of 10. Families were catered for and if you don't mind driving a little the surrounding areas do have alot to offer.
