Good location which is located at center of Nanjing Road...very easy to access via MRT or Taxi...and is near to The Bund...just about 15mins walk from the hotel...and also can get nice foods around the area...!
Location is good if you are here for shopping, right in the middle of shopping centre (nan jing lu) but was hard to find the hotel because tavi can't get through to the hotel.
Great hotel, nice & clean. Location is great.
Fantastic location right in the heart of Shanghai. Hotel room ok but no window - did get a computer in the room with free internet. However the staff were very very rude. The service as appalling.
Right in the heart of Nanjing road - make sure you have the name written in Chinese before you leave the airport - taxis cant drop you off at the door! But what a great spot to stop- down side they wouldnt hold our luggage after we checked out - their excuse , the expo was on .... pretty weak and annoying for us as we didnt leave town til 10pm!!
LOVED the location. Smack bang in the middle of the pedestrian mall, close to food shops and in between two subway stations. Staff speak English well, some are more helpful than others but all were polite and efficient. Rooms are in a bit of a rabbit warren but it wasn't too bad. Would definitely stay here again!
Good location but it was very difficult to find by the taxi-driver, because no car allowed on this street.
Cleanliness - building was old, hence everything is old. Facilities - I noticed a business centre, but there was no restaurant or gym - in fact there isn't much facilities get to think of it. service - People were fairly friendly, but the bell boy only works on certain days, or if he feels like it lol. Location - central pedestrian street so the location is EXCELLENT. however, can be a nightmare to find for first timers and families, and even worse if you have lots of luggage. This is because there might be no bell boy and you are gonna have to carry it all up by yourself! Pricing - Decent price considering the excellent location. Overall, this can be a very convenient hotel for 2nd timers.
There's a front desk receptionist that is really friendly. But it is kinda sucky that you've got to pay more for internet. Otherwise, all's good! Especially if you can speak Mandrain.
Good value for money. Clean room with basic amenities, surprisingly quiet at night as the busy Pedestrian Mall is just downstairs. Excellent location, 10 min walk to the Bund, close by to People Square Metro Station. Travelling by metro train is very convenient. Hotel staff not overly friendly. Glad that they let us check in early, about 10.15am. Will recommend this hotel to friends.
this hotel is great! located at the heart or at the middle of the city. it is along nanjing road which is good for shopping, lots of restaurants, atms, 24-hrs convenience store and near the metro
The location and the price, especially the price through internet, make this hotel quite attractive. I paid RMB 333 for a so-called Superior King Room. The hotel is quite clean in comparison with many other hotels in the locality. However, I was a bit disappointed with the service and unfriendly staffs. Overall, I would recommend this hotel, if you are on budget. You won't find a better hotel for the same price.
Location is excellent.Right on Nanjing east road, but taxi cannot go to doorstep because it's walking street. From Pudong bus No.5 to People's square ,then taxi to go to nanjing dong lu interssect with Guangxi lu.Room is average size.I think standard room and superior room is same size only slow internet in room is differnt.Staff speak good English. There is a small travel desk which can help you about acrobat ,circus,sight-seeing day trip ticket for a small fee. However if you want something cheaper there are hotels in range of 200+ yuan in the lane beside Pizza Hut 1 block west of the hotel
I strongly recommended East Asia Hotel Shanghai for anyone visiting Shanghai on a tight budget. Not only is the hotel very affordable, it also exceeded my expectations for a budget hotel. The room I got was very spacious and clean, comes with heater (unlike a previous hotel I stayed at) and bathtub. Most importantly, its excellent location in the middle of Nanjing Road East makes the stay the most worthwhile.
I enjoyed the location and convenience of this hotel but there were no great facilities. I had a wonderful corner room with a balcony which added to the stay, it was great being able to watch rthe world go by. There is a good internet cafe almost next door which was very handy... Generally good value for money, I will be staying there again
Typical strategic place hotel, not really good security and old building facilities. Location is only the selling point
I like the location and the price is reasonable. Location is good for those who like to shop around. and a great variety of restaurants are just at the corner.
