Consumer Reviews and Rating

"Cleanliness - building was old, hence everything is old. Facilities - I noticed a business centre, but there was no restaurant or gym - in fact there isn't much facilities get to think of it. service - People were fairly friendly, but the bell boy only works on certain days, or if he feels like it lol. Location - central pedestrian street so the location is EXCELLENT. however, can be a nightmare to find for first timers and families, and even worse if you have lots of luggage. This is because there might be no bell boy and you are gonna have to carry it all up by yourself! Pricing - Decent price considering the excellent location. Overall, this can be a very convenient hotel for 2nd timers." - Anonymous

"BE WARNED about the brusque, often rudely shouting, and generally incompetent front desk staff. Go for battle, don't smile, know your booked room quality, prices and facilities in advance - and hold your ground. Between checkin/checkout use the stairs to avoid the rudeness of Reception. Don't be fooled by the seemingly good Internet prices... The good rooms are on 5th floor, the shyte is on 3rd where you'll find the normal priced rooms. I book an expensive room, it's refurbished, has a computer, and although pricey is actually cheap for the exceptional location. If location is of prime importance to you, stay here but stay expensive - otherwise you'll hate every moment of your stay. Last time I had to argue to get the room I booked - but when you know what to expect, then it's ok." - David Kenward

"There's a front desk receptionist that is really friendly. But it is kinda sucky that you've got to pay more for internet. Otherwise, all's good! Especially if you can speak Mandrain. " - Anonymous

"Good value for money. Clean room with basic amenities, surprisingly quiet at night as the busy Pedestrian Mall is just downstairs. Excellent location, 10 min walk to the Bund, close by to People Square Metro Station. Travelling by metro train is very convenient. Hotel staff not overly friendly. Glad that they let us check in early, about 10.15am. Will recommend this hotel to friends." - Mei Chiw Tang
