Eastin Hotel Petaling Jaya

Clean room, friendly staf. It is value for money. A good place for short stay.

I was very happy with all aspecs of my stay at the Eastin. The bedroom was large and comfortable and with the free WiFi I was able to get some good work done. The bathroom was great, with a marvelous shower and a separate large tub. Everything seemed quite new and chosen for comfort.

High standard hotel, good service and restaurants. The location is good for business otherwise a taxi is needed for sight seeing and eating out.

Extremely friendly staff and a very clean hotel. Rooms may need to be renovated as they seem a bit dated. Otherwise a great stay. Online booking prices are great and much lower than phone/ direct bookings.

I had one problem. Generally the hotel is very well located and the service is good . There were 2 areas of relative dis-satisfaction : 1) Although I had a confirmed booking thru Internet , the staff at Reception did not appear well versed with this fact and took quite a while to settle me . This is the 2nd time I have had this experience with internet booking at Eastin Hotel . Hope you can rectify this problem for the future . 2) The breakfast appeared quite miserly and I had to pay for it because the internet booking did not give me the choice of including the b'fast in my hotel charges .

Very comfortable hotel, nice restaurants and entertainment in the evening. The hotel is close to my office. The hotel does not have a shopping centre or restaurants, bars etc within walking distance.

The room is large and the service is quite good.

Better than I had expected, good wide selection of breakfast catering to Westerners, Chinese, Malays and Vegetarians. Great selection of English newspapers. Gym consisted of 2 running mills, 2 stairmasters, and weights. Swimming design is of 3 connecting circles, which makes swimming in a straight line a bit awkward. And spa facilities that is in the hotel, but not part of the hotel, seems a bit dodgy. Cigar bar was excellent, although barman needs to be trained on what glass to use for Porto or Sherry. Would return here, as it was close to my office but far from KL center 50 min to 1 hour. So in all a good business hotel.

The hotel is quite good with nice lobby,room & WC.The breakfast were quite good with both western & oriental food.However,the tower was not so clean .There were problems with electricity when we put the hotelcard into the switch slot.This hotel location is 5-10mins by driving or by taxi which is not very convenient due to poor public transport in Petaling Jaya.However,generally ,it was good.

Location is too far to the local transportation. Taxi is hard to get.

I stayed in this hotel in July 2007 so that Petaling Jaya can be my home base. Check-in was fussless and the conceirge who took my bags up was very attentive; he checked the room, turned on the lights and the TV and told me that my room was ready. The room itself was very spacious and VERY clean. I had a room that overlooked the hills, which meant that it was very quiet. Breakfast was wonderful and the chef in charge of the eggs and roti-chanai area was very courteous. Overall I am very pleased with this hotel. The only minor thing I would suggest to the hotel is that they should follow the footsteps of some Kuala Lumpur hotels where they provide 2 computers opposite the reception area for internet access by the guests. Although the room was equipped with an internet port, unless we have a laptop (which we are not likely to have if we are travelling), internet access is only available during office hours at the business centre.
