"A room with metal bunks and a bare wood floor is only moderate back-packer standard and in this case over-priced." - Frank O'Connell
"We enjoyed the short walk from the beach to the The Easystay Bayside Motel, excellent!!!! Loads of places to eat along Fitzroy street. We chose a room at the rear as the testimonials stated that this was quieter than on Fitzroy street side, however at 5.30am a huge garbage truck entered the rear carpark and made a heap of noise, people 4 doors down were also woken by it!! I found the timber venetians did NOT block out the light which flooded in day and night. Curtains would have felt a lot more private. But enjoyed the rear balcony's positioned around with seats and tables, and ashtrays. It was a little shocking to read in bathroom a 50lt tank so wait 20mins inbetween showers if water cold! So be aware and allow time for this. Basic but good." - Anonymous
"This was more like backpacker accommodation and considering that rooms were not serviced other than sheets turned down and garbage emptied, the price was high (taking into account prices paid for other accommodation in Sydney which was far superior and at a similar rate). The beds were lumpy and reminded me of old school camp mattresses. Not recommended." - Terrence Hopkins
"Only stayed the one night thank goodness. Had virtually no sleep. The room was very basic and in desperate need of upgrading! The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the location is good." - Anonymous
