Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. I enjoy my stay very much.
rooms were a bit on the small side but were clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and the food in the dining room was good
This was a nice little surprise package. The Bistro was excellent, rooms old but tidy, will try for renovated rooms next time. So close to Spirit of Tasmania, really friendly staff, big big bed. Will definately stay here when sailing home again.
will stay againg.
Very solidly build motel - no noise from adjoining rooms (a blessing) and soft pillows! No plates, bowls or cutlery - except teaspoons provided. Dinner service in the club was great and very quick - pleasant evening!
This hotel is by far the best presentde that I have stayed at in Devonport.Love the king size bed and the size of the room.Nice modern bathroom and flat screen TV.Not far from being able to claim 4 stars.
Staff were all very friendly, helpful and very accomodating - they were great. Room was clean and modern but double bed was made from two singles. Breakfast was good but seem to closes quite early at 9am. Very nice view of the water and the night lights and very close to the Spirit of Tassie. Would stay at Edgewater Devonport again on our next holiday.
Room was comfortable if small, but there is a bad condensation problem (crying windows), bathroom was cleaned as evidenced by strong bleach smell, however, was in need of an update (very 70s!). Be aware that this hotel is right next to the shipyards and is quite noisy; also the hotel itself is full of pokies, so avoid if you aren't into that scene. Restaurant was pretty good, well priced, but the chicken I had needed to be cooked a bit longer. Very good service all round however, and worth the price.
Thoroughly enjoyed our one night stop-over at the Edgewater in Devonport, Tasmania. Only suggestion would be to have the Hotel Name better displayed at the front of the building. We arrived after dark and it was only after we drove past the hotel and around the corner did we see the hotel name at the rear of the building facing the river and township.
The room was clean, but very small with no chairs for comfort or a place to sit at to eat if you required a meal in the room. There was one dining chair and one bedside cabinet.
Above budget style, a little gem. Check out the king-size bed.
it was a good stay... would stay there again.
Very friendly staff. The room was comfortable, the bathroom a little tired but very clean. It was surprisingly quiet.
Meals were great, just what we needed after the boat trip and the next morning to fire us up for a big day
Cheap and unintersting old motel although clean and well maintained. Reception desk person was professional but indifferent. Mattress very bad. Room may become very chilly in winter - very old oil heater.
We were happy and pleased with this hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying at Devonport. The staff were very friendly, they had full amenities and services, including a choice of cooked or continental breakfasts. We were satisfied with the pricing of the rooms and the breakfast.
This motel did not live up to my expectations as I had viewed on the internet. I was led to believe that there was a separate bathroom which there was not. I had requested when booking that I could check in at 12 midday. When I went to the motel at 12md I was told to come back at 2pm as the room was not ready!!!!!!! The receptionist was rather cool in her approach. I had breakfast the following morning for which I was happy to pay. When I went to pay, there was no one around to pay the money to, so a staff member who happened to be walking through the foyer "went to find someone". I do not think this is good enough that the reception desk is unattended at 9am. The only good thing about the room is that the bed was great to sleep on and the heater worked very efficiently. I would never stay again at that motel.
