The location is great the room rate very competitive I would have no hesitation in staying there again and we travel alot
I found the hotel to be placed in an excellent position and liked the fact that there were two entrances. The food in the Edison Cafe was delicious but I found the menu a little bit limited. The people staying in the room next to us were very noisy and disruptive and we could hear everything. Service was excellent and check in and check out was very quick and efficient. The transport desk was a pleasure to deal with.
Good priced hotel, centrally located in Times Square. Poor quality linen and towels.
A very run-down hotel with a perfect location. The cleanliness in the room was acceptable. Not a very kind way of greeting us when we checked-in.
Our time spent at Edison Hotel New York was very enjoyable and comfortable for the most part. Our room was spacious and clean, but the bathroom was small and very warm. The water pressure in the shower was not good, otherwise we would rate our room and our stay as 100%. We would not hesitate to make reservations again at the Edison Hotel when visiting New York City.
When reading reviews online we were wary, and travelled with a small child. Booked via [website]. Apart from lack of fridge and tea/coffee facilities, it was very clean and comfortable (for an older hotel). Cleaning staff were pleasant and good security. Right on Times Square, but we were on a high floor with no noise. Great hot water (except at peak times) with bath/shower, TV. Hotel close to everything- subway, reasonable food stores, theatres etc. Would recommend to anyone wanting reasonable accommodation without high price tag.
Satisfied with all aspects on the accommodation at the Edison Hotel and the only negative was the noisy air conditioning units.
Stayed here for 2 nights. very central. Rooms a bit dated but clean and fresh towels daily. Value for money. Only in the hotel to sleep so didn't need anything too posh. Right in middle of Times Square.
Very Quiet. Maid service excellent and friendly. Room needs to be updated. Bathroom pipe was rusty at the top. But we were still satisfied because of location to theaters, restaurants and the heart of the city. Price was good.
Great location but very old and rundown.
bathroom floor had lots of hair. room was clean otherwise
The staff on front desk were very unfriendly, except for one guy Youseff who was v.helpful & cheery. The hotel is very old and the room we had was just adequate, but clean. The heating in our room was quite cool but better than too warm. The staff in the hotel cafe where we had breakfast were also unfriendly and no service but 15% gratuity was added to the bill - for absolutely no service. They practically threw the tea & toast at us. If we returned to New York we wouldnt stay @ The Edison - overall impression - depressing. Only plus was the excellent location on Broadway and a few steps away from Times Square.
Nice and clean hotel, practically on Times Square. Unfortunately, it has no coffee-making machine in the room nor in the lobby. Expensive as other Manhattan hotels.
Not the greatest rooms--the washrooms were pathetic, but worked. Wasn't in New York to stay in the hotel anyway. The first impression was nasty--front desk personnel were very short and infriendly. Bell hops and doormen were fantastic. Would definately stay there again.
great place to stay and great location. staff friendly. would stay there again
We loved the location and the Art deco feel but it looks over tired and in need of a facelift. The room was spacious and bathroom facilities worked well.
the edison hotel was in a perfect location for shopping sightseeing would recomnd it
Excellent location close to Times Square. In-house restaurant good value with plenty of breakfast choices at affordable prices. Rooms are relatively small, but have everything a traveller working on a moderate budget would wish for. Great gym with a variety of exercise machines. You have to buy broadband internet, but it's a reasonable cost. Staff are somewhat gruff and tetchy "New Yorkers", but then again what New Yorker isn't?
It's old but it's not run down. Love the place. Great price for the location.
I had a very pleasant stay at the Edison and would return in the future as it was a superb location and in New York you really only need a bed to sleep. The room was always clean and had comfortable space. The Italian restaurant and the coffee shop style restaurant were both convenient and fine. Worth a try.
